Petty? He played one of the worst key defensive roles at our club since probably a game from OMac in 2020. His body language stinks and got badly beaten in one-on-ones again.

ย

This is a tough call, unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.

6. ย  Chandler: ย A four quarter โ€˜workhorseโ€™. ย Ran hard all day, put his body on the line, and kicked three goals. One of his best games.
5. ย  Oliver: ย Slowly working back to his best. ย Never gave up against the odds.
4. ย  Salem: ย Solid defensively, despite that he seems to have lost a yard. ย Mostly precise delivery, and a few nice second efforts.
3. ย  Bowey: ย Solid game, spoilt by a couple of costly clangers.
2. ย  Lindsay: ย Very mature and composed for his age and experience. A big part of our future.
1. ย  ย Henderson: ย mostly nice vision and neat execution. ย Will be around for a while, I expect. ย

Not voting - very disappointed,

Only one player can honestly hold his chin up!

Didn't see the game, and probably won't, now, but good to see Lindsay featuring.

Have enough people voted yet to end this toom?

Working yesterday and just watched the replay, so I feel quite confident that five players were worthy.

Sixth goes to one of our hardest workers.

6 Chandler - This was his best game ever and showed that Goody's faith in him was worth the wait. I am one of those who queried his ability to be physically effective enough to play small forward and having some time in middle helped break up that role and he was mega clean, unlike teammates.

5 Oliver - Very good at winning the footy (12 clearances) and one lovely left-foot goal. But he was part of a terrible bit of play after halftime when both he and Trac failed to stick tackles on Paul Curtis. But still very much a step back to his good old days of 2021.

4 Lindsay - Laid the most tackles of any Demon and very effective with his disposals. Career only two games in, but gees he looks the part.

3 Bowey - Made perhaps the biggest howler with a dreadful shanked kick when going long through the middle that resulted in a Zurhaar goal, but otherwise was very serviceable and he's made a great start to the season after a very good game last week.

2 Salem - Neat and tidy all day and seemed to play close to his opponents.

1 Sparrow - Yes I know he had no awareness when being chased down with a shot on goal, but at least he worked his butt off along with Viney. Both turned the ball over continuously, but Viney's left boot missed passes did more damage to us than Sparrow's errant ball blasts.

Always someone who's good for a laugh

Not worried about the votes.

Was that a breakout game for Chandler? Sure looked like it. .Its taken a while but with some players when the penny dropsย  it hits the turf with a thud.

He now knows what he is capable of doing.

If that is his new standard going forward I will take that loss and look forward to Kosi joining him up forward.

3 Myself for making the effort to go to Shizzen stadium and catching the train and being entertained by the antics of other travellers, which was better than what was dished up by the Dees on Sunday!

2 Myself for staying till the end

1 Myself for putting up with buses replacing trains and not getting home until after 9

Definitely chandlers best game. Did not think he had this level in him, well done.

other years he has started OK then faded hope this also changes.

Windsor and Oliver both played well.ย

That Daniel Turner is 8th is bizarre and concerning.

He touched the pill 7 times at 57% efficiency.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
