Kozy is playing on another planet. He has the ability to stop time.

JVR will take a lot to beat him.

Rivers will be a perfect 4th mid with Oliver, viney and trac.

Langford already looks at home.

Doggie junior looks like he has  had a good preseason. He has a good footy brain

Mcadam will start round 1.

AJ will get a few games this year

Ricky is comfortable at AFL pace.

Laurie can play… just needs more consistency

AMW has skills.

Sharp is a good addition. Will come in handy through the season

Do you want him to ask his ‘third hand source’? To ask the person who was told by the person who was told the person who was the ‘source’?

Which would be Chris Judds grandmother.

A huge thanks to Picket fence for the Mission Impossible scenario and great Training Report most appreciated, also Demonland, Oxdee and all posters. The updates on Luker Kentfield and Koltyn Tholstrup although sad for us all helped solve some intrigues. My daughters and now son-in-laws wedding was both beautiful and very moving both families have fully embraced them both and we all felt blessed to be part of the occasion. Thanks for your kind thoughts.😁💕

Would they have put Bellanie in a Melbourne guernsey on team photo day if his heart is somewhere else? Methinks not 😁

Some of the children of the players were in guernseys but not all, so clearly it was optional.

Along with Ardu’s sister (who’s also her best friend) living close by in Melbourne, Kozzie’s sister has moved to Melbourne too.

I love your optimism, but clearly for the past 2 years its not the love of the club that is the reason for possibly leaving.

Hopefully its enough for him to stay though!!

I am with you on Kozzie staying Ghostie and am not concerned at this stage.

Besides everything you have said above and previously, I will add a few more factors.

It was said he is friends with Walters who is now 34 and unlikely to be a Docker next year.

His cousin Roy will hopefully be on our list soon and they are apparently close.

He has mates in AMW, Mentha, May and McAdam at the Dees plus Wrecker Whelan as a mentor.

The rumours are only about Freo and not the Eagles, so is that really homesickness?

He is contracted for 3 years.

Are all his family, his partner, sister in law and sister all homesick, as it would appear a lot of people would have to move to see him playing interstate. Also leaving Roy who has come across possibly to play with him.

I am moving on to the next topic.

No number, about the same size as Fritta, sticky hands, white zinc over his nose and Veeery impressive! Anyone got any ideas who he might be??

Maybe this young bloke? Part of the Casey recruitment drive for Season '25.

Patrick Ireland

Graduating from Gippsland Power, Ireland booted 111 goals from 20 matches this year for Buln Buln in the Ellinbank and District league, including six in the grand final. There were also bags of 14, 13 and 12. "He's got all the attributes you like in a forward," outgoing Buln Buln coach Bobby McAllum said. "He's very mobile and he takes a really good mark but what sets him apart from a lot of forwards is that he's a really good set-shot."

For the record, AMW isn't indigenous, rather East Timorese 👍

A bit off topic but will Sinnema be eligible for us as an Academy pick next year? ... And Prasad the following year???

I have tried to find definitive answers but no luck.

Any chance he is a descendant of Saint Patrick? Could be a blessing at Casey Fields. Slitheras are now on notice.

Sinnema in this year's draft and then Prasad next year.

I've heard good things about Prasad. Small in stature but playing style similar to Isaac Kako. There is still a lot of water to go under the bridge, but the fact he made his Coates League debut as a 15 year is amazing in itself.

All Australian at under 16s level so well worth keeping an eye on him this year.

They must be from a unique mob then

I can only go by what they tell me and I know that just because they refer to themselves by a particular term doesn’t automatically mean that I can. Therefore I always ask if it’s appropriate for me to use the term.

Anyways, I didn’t know it had another meaning so I’ve learned something today and that’s always a good thing 🙂

Yes. Toby’s Chinese mother was actually born in China so he qualifies.

Idk if it’s been mentioned on here already but the players have four days off which is why there’s no training session today. They’ll be back at Gosch’s on Wednesday.

Why did those good-for-nothings get a long weekend while we didn't? 😄

Don't we also have another up and coming NGA player in the same year as Prasad?

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
