SWYL was merely relaying information he had heard. The only thing a SWYL will say in response to your little "question" is an opinion that is not particularly related to the material that was conveyed to him. But why must he answer at all? Have a lie down.

Brad's achievements in a few short months.

  • Seamless and bloodless transition to lead the Board
  • Drove the FD and Board reviews (and will oversee their implementation)
  • Negotiated the departure of our CEO
  • Facilitated the arrival of Steve Smith (pending voting) and succession plan to be the next Board leader
  • Ended the off-field legal dramas taking the unwarranted heat of our coach and our club.

In a few short months he has neutralised the topics creating negative media attention. 👏👏👏

I will confess I was a bit 'meh' when he joined the Board and thought replacing Roffey was just window dressing.  I was very very wrong!

If he does nothing else he has been incredibly successful in laying the foundations for our stability, growth and success.

Change management is one of the hardest things for any organisation to undertake and Brad hasn't put a foot wrong.

What a load of rubbish, think you overestimated his super human abilities in these matters.

'Rubbish' = Hyperbole!  At least back it up with something specific!

The verbs I used do not imply any 'super human abilities'. To me they are standard actions of 'change management' which is what I see Green's role has been and will hopefully continue to be.

If you think they are 'super human abilities' it is an assumption on your part.

Yes I have, and I will tell you something the president doesn't implement anything until the board approves and a president doesn't take all the credit for anything, I was answering a post where it was implied that he has done it all simple as that try reading reading first.

My post did not imply nor intend that Green did it all.  It is another assumption on your part.

A 'change manager' by definition does not act unilaterally.

As an aside, your retorts to some posters in this thread have become tedious and add little to the discussion.  After a while it sounds like Tr-lling ... 🤷‍♀️

🤣🤣🤣  Can't support or explain your assumptions so resort to ridicule !!!

The ridicule says more about you than the people you target.

It is not flattering to you.

I doubt it as he joined DL nearly 20 years ago!!

He knows exactly what he is doing and it is an odd and sad way to amuse oneself.

I have been quite pleased with Brad Green's job as interim President of the Melbourne Football Club so far. He has been very open with his communication.

Hoping he can also resolve the issues that Peter Lawrence and the "Deemocracy" group have.

The sooner we can all unify in the interest of the Melbourne Football Club the better.

Green came in when the club was in its worst position both on and off- field, for quite some time. Im not expecting or wanting him to lead us out of our current plight, as Steven Smith is seemingly the one who will lead us in a new direction.

Commendably, Brad has put out several spot fires that have been slowly burning away at the club and this will define his interim presidency, Providing stable leadership when we needed it the most.

Hopefully Brad elects to remain on the board when the transition is made to SS, as his presence has been a breath of fresh air.

Doesn't he have a fire safety business. Anyhow, why do you need a board stuffed with CPAs and legal nuggets? What do they know about football clubs?

Ok, I wasn't across that.

Cheers UG. 👍

Since Brad Green became interim president and since Gary Pert retired, it seems to me that the club has found it's feet and is on a better track. Litigation over, Goody reinstated as a top fella, Clarry and Tracca about to hit the track, no internal issues, team leaders on the track showing the way and the sun is shining today.

Who could ask for anything more?

Gary Pert has not left yet. He has announced with the club he will leave at end of the year.

Also he will be a consultant ensuring the work on the Training base is being kept moving.

So while it’s great about the mood and vibe you have to be careful IMO to sheet it home as a result of all individual recents happenings.

If you are in the inner sanctum yes many may have those opinions which would be closer than a fan at training especially the first day of the youngsters who are more likely to be on top of their game if they have done the work  required the coaches.

I do agree Tiers that Brad Green has accomplished much in a short time and without any heavy hitting so  no doubt this is apparent especially for Simon who could be a completely different person this year. As the review suggested but only the person involved can be fully understood when things change and they feel free or released.
