...but "cultural issues", "crisis" and "mess" at the Demons? Damian Barrett = first class hack...add this one to the list.

He is on about the continuous attacks from tools like Barrett who make the same points over and over in their columns like its gospel. Candy Kane Cornes does the same. If you repeat the same thing over and over then it must be true. Barrett has made the same point about Trac & Clarry in his column each week that they don't want to be there. Well guess what they are there. And they are there for the whole season.

Heard a crescendo of info that there could just be Cultural problems at C9, but i stress that its true.

Nah nothing to see there. However one person wants to leave a club. That club is in "crisis". Imagine having 50 plus staff in an organisation and someone wants to leave. The "crisis" that must bring to an organisation.

Only sexual assault and aggravated assault going unpunished

Nothing like the rampant homesickness of Kozzi or the uber professionalism of Trac

Yeah, it generally helps to put the genesis for the post, in the post. Here it is:

Feel like maybe this thought didn't require an entirely new thread.

I hate the pies and I hate how much our club seems to not hate them.

We are at war with them as far as I am concerned

They should not be referred to as Collingwood, or the Pies. No term other than "the filth" is appropriate.

I don't hate Collingwood, so when they win premierships it doesn't bother me.  The more you hate them, the more pain you'll experience when they win.

Barrett actually says something negative about every single club in that "sliding doors" article. You would have to wonder about his mental state?

Massive Inferiority complex. The look on the face gives it away all the time

I think you need to get out more, obviously don't quite understand what the word 'war' means.

I'm sure he means it in the Shakespearean sense.

His relentless negativity is exhausting

Anyone would think he suffers from some kind of supporter syndrome

Don't you Edwin Starr at me 🤣 As an ex military personage, the comparison to war no matter the context is abhorrent.

  • PREGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

With their season all over bar the shouting the Demons head back on the road for the third week in a row as they return to Adelaide to take on the Crows. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Suns find themselves outside of the top eight for the first time since Round 1 with pressure is mounting on the entire organisation. Their coach Damien Hardwick expressed his frustration at his team’s condition last week by making a middle-finger gesture on television that earned him a fine for his troubles. He showed his desperation by claiming that Fox should pick up the tab.  There’s little doubt the Suns have shown improvement in 2025, and their position on the ladder is influenced to some extent by having played fewer games than their rivals for a playoff role at the end of the season, courtesy of the disruption caused by Cyclone Alfred in March.  However, they are following the same trajectory that hindered the club in past years whenever they appeared to be nearing their potential. As a consequence, that Hardwick gesture should be considered as more than a mere behavioral lapse. It’s a distress signal that does not bode well for the Queenslanders. While the Suns are eager to remain in contention with the top eight, Melbourne faces its own crisis, which is similarly deep-seated but in a much different way. After recovering from a disappointing start to the season and nearing a return to respectability among its peer clubs, the Demons have experienced a decline in status, driven by the fact that while their form has been reasonable (see their performance against the ladder leader in the Kings Birthday match), their conversion in front of goal is poor enough to rank last in the competition. Furthermore, their opponents find them exceptionally easy to score against. As a result, they have effectively eliminated themselves from the finals race and are again positioned to finish in the bottom half of the ladder.
