Where is Kossies home? Feel like it’s anywhere except Melbourne.

Darwin

Kozzys home is absolutely in WA - Quairiding.

It’s true that he is homesick and has some genuine reasons for wanting to be in Perth.

it’s also true that he loves the club, coach and playing for Melbourne.

From WA yes

Spends all his time in Darwin for obvious reasons

I once saw Eddie Betts jogging down the street in Darwin. I didn't immediately realise who it was, because he was running on uneven broken concrete next to the main road with all the exhaust fumes and you don't think about AFL players being so close to the equator anyway, but I gave him the old-mate nod and he gave back a knowing smile. My conclusion at the time, after I realised it was 'the' Eddie pounding the footpath, was that it definitely had something to do with Wade Derksen, but now when I think about it a bit more deeply it probably had something more to do with Pickett and Shai Bolten being mates. I was on a bicycle though, so who knows?

Did the bike have a seat? I'd say no

IMV, it's time we adopted a model closer to what's used in the US in terms of player movement.

Much bigger names than Clayton Oliver & Christian Petracca have moved clubs over there.

LeBron, Shaq, Shohei Ohtani...the fans hurt, lash out and pine for their lost stars but they move on and stick with their teams.

To balance the power between clubs and players, clubs should be able to trade contracted players wherever they wish.

Clauses to prevent/control this outcome are commonly included in long term contracts for the big stars. Implementing this will have players and agents thinking about this risk when penning longterm deals and stars won't be so quick to wantaway when contracted else a CP5 could find himself at GW$

Here's a radical suggestion: Everyone shuts up, knuckles down, grows up and puts their ego aside for the team and for their own careers.

We need stability, and that means people get on with the job of winning. Forget changing Pert. Forget changing Richardson. Trac stays. Kozzie stays. Oliver stays. Forgive the wrongs and show some maturity.

Yeah, someone is homesick. So what? Get a real problem...

Cooney is a complete numbskull

Watch our membership disappear down the drainpipe if any of this tripe happens - Jack Higgins ? Just wtf 🤬

I thought it was painful watching our season slowly get worse but all this trade talk of our elite players and apparent lack of unity is frankly depressing

Hopefully it’s all just BS

Kozzy will officially ask for a trade to Port Adelaide this week

Source is from someone who wouldn't b [censored] to me. Gave me the heads up due to me being a massive Dee.

Have seen screenshots of the cover letter that had been written up by his Manager

The wellbeing factor is the main reason to leave Melbourne

Why Port Adelaide?

So over all this garbage. Koz, Clarrie and Trac are in the privileged position of being able to play the game they love for a lot of money. They all signed contracts. They can just harden the f up, honour their contracts and play their guts out for the team and their team mates. They don’t own the game, they are just a part of it.

Unfortunately keeping things simple is very very complicated.

How on earth do they get the deal done?

Just because he wants it, doesn't mean it'll happen.

Especially if Houston is saying no thanks I'm not coming to Melbourne.

If he does intend to request a trade, I don't think the request would come before the Best & Fairest.

His management wouldn't put Kozzy in an awkward situation like that.

You'd hope so, unless he has Trac's management.

Kozzie to Port , Houston to NM. We NM 1st rounder then we get Peatling from GWS.

I will keep my powder dry until I hear it from the horses mouth or at least the clubs, same with Clayton & Tracc as this would be the biggest trade deal in living memory. Oh by the way How would they get it done.???? Gunna be a lot of egg on a lot of faces me thinks.

Hypothetical - if Kozzy wants out, ends up at Fremantle, Andrew Brayshaw comes to Melbourne in a trade (rumoured to want out if Warner ends up there)

This is where Houston would’ve come in handy in a trade with Port had we not scared him off.

Geez if this is true, we’re going to be a seriously bland on field product without the mercurial Kozzie next year.

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

  • AFLW REPORT: Western Bulldogs

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
