Christian Petracca

I bet you Jimmy Stynes would have , Eddie mcquire, I’m sorry club is in a mess and she is our president who sounded so disconnected or not across the detail ..

Jimmy was fantastic at getting people to donate but he oversaw some of the worst administrative and hiring decision the club AND league have ever seen. If it weren't for GC and GWS entering the league we quite possibly might have gone winless across two seasons, in his 3rd and 4th seasons as President.

If I'm unfortunate enough to end up in intensive care, I want everyone at my business getting in contact to see if I'm OK, even the silent partner that hasn't set foot in the place for 2 years.

That would make the world of difference.

So let me get this straight, the meeting at Gawn’s bar had someone from the public leak details and now this other casual drinks with players has been leaked. How dumb can you be?

The rustic Marion Wine Bar in Gertrude St, Fitzroy, was the scene for a peculiar little gathering of Melbourne players on Tuesday night.

Clearly, the players didn't seem to care - or they thought they couldn't be heard — by the table of serious football fans sitting at the next table.

The pleasant surprise seeing AFL players on a windy Tuesday night was one thing, their astonishment at what the players - clearly frustrated - were saying about Christian Petracca was another.

So much so, notes were taken.

Words such as "weird" were heard, and how Petracca's "weirdness" was accepted at Melbourne, but would not be accepted at another club.

Wtf. Are the papers seriously quoting some random punters at a pub? What kind of muckraking [censored] is this?

Gutnick’s concerns comes as the Herald Sun can reveal Petracca’s partner Isabella Beischer – formerly a lawyer at the Hall & Wilcox legal firm, is now the business manager of Trac 5 Pty Ltd.

She is the key driver of “Brand Petracca”, which reportedly is one of reasons influencing Petracca’s desire to pursue a trade to a big Melbourne club.

She became Petracca’s business manager in April this year, two months prior to Petracca being severely injured in the King’s Birthday clash with Collingwood

History (and some great television) tells us it's often a bad idea to mix family and business.

what did you like about it layz?

BDA it wasnt perfect but i thought she was confident in the way she spoke, even if she probably had no idea there was at least an answer for everything. No wishy washyness. At least in this interview.

She sounds, keyword 'sounds' like a decent leader. I have no idea what the truth is behind closed doors but I didn't hate this interview.

Obviously that depends on if you think the president needs to be in full dialogue with an injured player in intensive care, so in that case I'm going to get lambasted by the freedom fighters. Take your best shot gazorpazorps!

This is the biggest, most public, urgent issue facing any club in the league. It's embarrassing, distracting and disturbing for the players, sponsors, members and supporters.  The media and other clubs are picking at our bones like buzzards and she's barely across the details.

She's relying on process and structure to solve a giant problem. Roll your sleeves up and get involved.  She could have convinced us she was heavily involved without disclosing specifics. But she didn't, because she's not.

Sorry, simply not good enough.

It's unreal. No names put to it. No evidence. Some [censored] took notes that some unidentified players think Petracca is 'weird'. How substantive. Maybe I'll call the Hun up tomorrow and let them know I heard Petracca was with RFK Jr dumping the dead bear in Central Park in his draft year.

Then why didn't he say that to begin with? Again, something doesn't add up.

Not sure about the "reveal" part as that's been up on her LinkedIn for a while now.

Is "Theres internal bleeding and you could die" Standard operating procedure to reassure someone they're going to be ok pre-surgery? Or an attempt to traumatize and cast blame on the smaller victorian football club, so that the trust is broken forever? Tracc was discussing what was to told him on the Howie Podcast and that seemed a little odd.

This is such a sensitive topic to discuss I suppose, but agenda driven nefarious actors do exist. Sorting out who is who is half the battle.

Should say it’s THE reason influencing his desire for a trade to a big club.

If you just wanted to get out of our club, whose direction you seem to dislike so much, you would be open to be traded to any club where you could see yourself succeed and be happy.

The motives cannot be clearer or more shallow.
Unfortunately because this club has no brand management skills, they’ve let a player and his partner control the narrative.

It is an absolute indictment on this club and its leaders, that they knew for months that Trac was unhappy, knew the dangerous “social management” path he was on, and yet let it fester and explode to the point that he has been allowed to publicly urinate on our club for weeks, all for the sake of his own brand!

To be fair it’s been noted here for days, but Demonland rightly doesn’t want one person targeted who is a private person not involved in the club.

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo

    WELCOME 2024 by Meggs

It’s been hard to miss the seismic global momentum happening in Women’s sport of late. The Matildas have been playing to record sell-out crowds across Australia and ‘Mary Fowler is God’ is chalked onto footpaths everywhere. WNBA basketball rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has almost single-handedly elevated her Indiana Fever team to unprecedented viewership, attendances and playoffs in the USA.   Our female Aussie Paris 2024 Olympians won 13 out of Australia’s all-time record 18 gol

    EPILOGUE by Whispering Jack

I sit huddled in near darkness, the only light coming through flickering embers in a damp fireplace, the room in total silence after the thunderstorm died. I wonder if they bothered to restart the game.  No point really. It was over before it started. The team’s five star generals in defence and midfield ruled out of the fray, a few others missing in action against superior enemy firepower and too few left to fly the flag for the field marshal defiantly leading his outnumbered army int
