Grievance tribunal would be a pathetic Hail Mary from Trac and his team.  Hard to know if this is navel gazing by those in the media or leaked by his “advisors”. If the latter they are clearly desperate and clutching at straws for any leverage. The club should (and hopefully will) hold firm like anyone holding all the cards should. “Stay on target, stay on target”….. sadly we are not at the stage where we can finish the Star Wars quote: “almost there, almost there”.

i don’t know the details of his current contract, but he struck it at his high water mark, and NO club is going to offer a recently seriously injured 29 year old gun player a better five year deal than he’s on now. 
And there’s zero chance the MFC would pay part of his salary to facilitate a trade.

It’s all smoke and bravado. 

We should already be considering trading him to a bottom four team or a WA team.

You know what, why not from the clubs perspective? Culture and club direction have already been trashed. We could point to a much better offer I’m sure from another club which will show this is all Brand-Petracca

I have no doubt that the club doctors followed procedure on the day. I have no doubt they did all assessments and procedures before sending him back on the field. 

I would imagine* that while he was off the field the doctors would have been going by what CP5 was telling them. Was the pain located to one spot? was the pain of the ribs more than the pain of the lung/ spleen? I have no doubt that the conducted other assessments, but mostly they would have been based on what CP5 was telling them. The docs dont have the luxury of scanners etc on the boundary/ in the rooms. 

I possibly came off with a 10/10 pain, perhaps that subsided after a short time to a 4/10 pain, and the conversation of giving him pain relief came up. perhaps after this the pain became a 2/10 and CP5 was sure he could go on and play. I imagine he ran at 50%- 80%-100%, did squat jumps and whatever other warm up exercises required before saying he was right to go back on. I imagine that the docs are assessing him the entire time too. 

I imagine after a short time, body contact, running at 110% the pain came back to being 10/10 and he came off the ground.

I think I read that it was a second round of scans at the hospital the the true extent of his injuries came to light.

Do I think that CP5 wish he could have done things differently, yep.

There was a review of what happened and the AFL have ticked it off. Could CP5 request a review and make changes to the rules for injured players across the league to make change, yep he could, and he still might be the catalyst for this .

Has he been through a traumatic experience, absolutely, but reading through the [censored] tonight, it feels like he is more traumatised by his families reaction to his situation and that he "may not have made it" than he is to the injury itself. 

Was the clubs reaction the same as his families?

Did they stay at the hospital/ follow up with visits/ calls/ texts? who knows, doesnt sound like they went above and beyond. Should they go above and beyond, [censored] yeah, blow smoke up the guys [censored], do whatever is needed to make him feel loved.

Do I believe that he would take a trade right now if it were possible? yep

Do I believe he will only go to a big Vic club? no, this is media hyperbole

Do I believe he is only thinking of his brand? nope, this is media hyperbole

Do I believe his injury and the reaction by the club to be the catalyst of a bunch of things that have happened this year, to his current feeling? yep

Do I believe that he loves the players/ coaches and club? yep

Do I believe there will be monumental change within the club structure/ coaches etc? yep

Do I believe that this will be sorted by the club and he will be in red and blue next year? yep

Do I believe that he will finish his career in the red and blue? depends what happens this off season

Do I believe this will impact our recruiting this year? yep

Will I love this club forever with or without CP5? [censored] oath

I agree, but it should go both ways. 

The heads of whoever is leading this idiotic nonsense from Trac should roll too. 
This is not how you manage your business as a professional who is 2 years into a 7 year multi million dollar deal, that nobody held a gun to your head to sign.

Whatever his grievances are, they have now become a side show in this circus he’s created. If he wants the club to get busy resolving problems, he’s making it much more difficult by occupying their time dealing with his public meltdown instead. 
 

Won’t happen. The AFL ticked off on the process for his injury management. He exercised his own free will and entered the field of play. 

I hope he does apply tbh, it will [censored] all over his brand and he’ll become the perennial sook and carry that with him for the rest of his life. 

I find this brand stuff hard to stomach or believe. If so however, there there would be no brand without MFC. No one would be watching ordinary citizen Trac cooking his Nonna’s recipes.

So much of this makes no sense. Trac must have realised that neither Carlton nor Pies have sufficient trade capital to make it happen so why bother bringing the subject up. What purpose is served other than to either try to force change or cause malicious disruption.

Realistically none of the players being brought up for possible trades are likely to want it nor will their clubs cause their own internal disruption by forcing such trades. Again it makes no sense.

If it’s so unbearable at the Dees he can go play for a team that will pay us what he is worth. That might just have to be Norf and not his “big club request” 
 

If that’s not good enough he can just retire and become a celebrity judge on MKR.

A few had been talking about Trac caring about his brand more than his football and I too was somewhat dismissive and naive.  But with some of the info that we've heard today it's becoming clear what is happening.  The AFL world is being schooled in modern marketing and brand management  We were asleep at the wheel with Ginnivan and this fiasco is another example. 

Sure he could come back to the club or he could just wait it out, bathe in the circus, accumulate the clicks and earn more money.   I actually wouldn't be surprised if to get this deal over the line at Carlton, he'll consider to take a pay cut of a notional amount.

I have been saying all thread that if all else fails he could go down the legal path to get out of his contract and get to the club he wants on the cheap.

Richmond have a couple good picks don't they. Bet brand Petracca won't want to play for spoons though.
