My guess would be he survives this week and next, then if we lose to the tiges and weagles he’s gone. Season is toast anyway, but they won’t go this early. No point unless we’ve got a replacement in mind..

i think the level of performance is not trending in the right direction. At all. There are no positive signs. the youngsters are showing the strain now as well. JVR confidence on the floor, windsor very flat. we're going to stuff their development.

I've seen the death rattle of a few man Utd coaches (there's been quite a few recently). There's a 100 point belting in our not too distant future. Probably Freo next week.

Maybe an interim coach won't be able to stem the bleeding. But its clear that Goody can't. The point of no return has been reached. This game plan will never eventuate. There is no point to him now. He is legacy is being damaged the longer this goes on.

Goodwin has no idea, every time you see the camera go to him, he is just sitting there, the few times in the first qtr it panned to Scott he was talking with his assistants. Goodwin had his head over a laptop angled to the corner.

Who cares? I don't get the concern about a caretaker coach at all. They're just there to hold the fort for a few months.

• Chris Fagan in his 2nd year at the helm got them into top 4 and since then, have not missed out on playing finals. Sustained success.

• Luke Beveridge in his first year in 2015 got them straight into the finals after taking over a club that was in a diabolical state after they sacked their coach and traded their captain in Ryan Griffen at the end of 2014. Beveridge then wins a flag in 2016.

Yes, it's not guaranteed that it would work for us, but there is enough evidence to suggest clubs that still have a decent list as we do, only need a fresh new voice and a completely new system in place and you can certainly bounce back.

Our list on paper still has enough talent on there to bounce back up immediately if the club is willing to make changes.

Goodwin is cooked and you'd be delusional to think if the players haven't lost faith in him because as it stands, player and coaches look polar opposite to each in terms of being aligned on the same page.

Reckon Cameron Bruce would be a good option. Was brought in by Brisbane to coach their midfield and especially fix up their running patterns back in 2022.

I think that rather than stubbornness with the game plan, it’s his inability to come up with a new and effective game plan, and, it would seem, a backup plan; he is incredibly slow to react to what is happening on the ground. With no backup plan, when things are getting away from them, the players just seem completely lost.

I think after yesterday’s effort, his cards are probably marked, and the search for a replacement is probably underway, behind closed doors.

Its not necessarily the "calibre" of the person leading the helm, its the style in which they teach.

Any assistant coach waiting in the wings would want a Senior Coach position. We just need to find the right one
