Cripes is Freo going to get done by the Eagles after pumping us last week? Ugh.

Eagles.  Stoppages. Getting contested footy.  Wow.  That’s the key versus Freo.  Memo to Dees coaches.  Watch that first half by the lowly eagles.

Beating us is hardly an accomplishment anymore. Wouldn’t read too much into last weeks result.

Go hawthorn or dogs tomorrow.  I just want someone to take essendons spot in the 8.

Clearly we can't

The hawks taking the druggies spot in the 8 will surely have bomberblitz doing ferals.

Bombers fans calling for the Weid to come in!

That's why I hope hawthorn win. That would just rub further salt into their wounds

Everything will go the Pies way today. Big win over the Tigers, then Sydney and Adelaide winning. Only 1 spot left in the 8 and Pies = $$$$$$$$$$

We had our chances to get 2 games clear of the pies but just couldn't do it. Plus next week will be about pendleburys 400th.

Actually he is one of the few pies players I don't mind, Actually he probably is the only one

Why the [censored] don’t the AFL make Richmond use their alternate jumper against Collingwood.

I’m thinking in terms of the rest of the season, quite frankly we need to win the next 4 games, incl GC away which will be tough. I like the idea of Carlton not having a home final.

Win the next 8 thanks. 🏆

Dogs in some good form , look well balanced over the park , playing with a lot of confidence

Big test for the swans now

It really is incredible that Sydney have been on Top all year, but their First Quarters have been so consistently bad!!

They could be out in Straight Sets this year if Teams Jump them early

Gee that doesn’t sound like much fun

Hold on wait a minute ………

Dogs will take 8th spot & will smash us next week …our season was over when we lost by 90 points to Freo..

Hope the dogs keep going & bont gets another  3 votes. Would love to see him win the brownlow.

Daicos apparently had 42 possessions.

Sydney will not win it this year. Blues will not win it either. The AFL will do by right by the Lions and make sure they get it done this given last years robbery.

it is an even comp, but there is not one team that strikes the fear in an opposition. Arguably Sydney, but there forward line is average at best and in a finals campaign, you cannot win it without a-graders all over the park.

Its really annoying because anyone of our sides from the last 2 years would have been neck deep in it.

And don't you sound happy about it.

Do you get any joy following the Dees? 😇

A doggies win makes it very difficult for us. Swans are a good second half team so hopefully they can pull this one out of the fire yet?

Not sure what ur point is?? We also should be angry at the missed opportunities and were we currently stand …

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
