Does not make up for the art of crumbing especially to the front  of the pack. Who takes Kossies place at ground level when he wasted his time flying from the back over other Dees players who are in the team to mark the ball.

in other words ONE mark swallow in 100 games ( summers) does not make a summer!!!

Imagine if all players did this an all positions team rules would be a disaster.

Inlove Kossie and appreciate that he is allowed plenty of space to play expansively because of his amazing ability. Thats what we love about home but speccys can be left to our talls thank . you

Come on didn't Kozzies high flying grab give you just a little bit of a 😊

Kozz is our future and at his best is the most damaging small forward in the comp. I love the way he attacks the ball. Here’s to 100 more Kozz ❤️

100 games for just over 100 goals and one speccy.

His pressure acts are at least 50% running after the full back kicking in which is predictable pressure.

Memorable 1% ers are the block that allowed Tracs" Daicos"  goal in the  grandfinal ..that was elite 1% even if it was about the only thing he did on the day

If you watch carefully. Kozzie applied a lot of pressure acts in the GF…

You have to watch him carefully

Without even touching on his forward craft, pressure, speed, the amount of goals he's kicked etc... he's one of the best dual sided players I thing I've seen in red and blue.

Your opinion fair enough. Mine is that he is not necessarily trying to take a lot of marks, and by the way Melksham does the same thing, but his idea is to disturb opposition from taking defensive marks and clearing along with the obvious view to keeping it inside 50. Plain enough for me.

If we could duplicate him so we can have one up forward and one in the midfield at all times, that would be great.

He's too good at both roles. Just so damaging. His evasive skills, but also his vision when he plays up the field is up there with the best mids in the game.

That would also mean duplicates of his defensive pressure. Yes please.

The best small forward we’ve had since the The Wiz

Both sensational players but Kozzy has arguably more tricks due to his time in the midfield

He is building consistently in output and tempering some of his aggression

One of our very best and a great career so far

He is a ripper

Totally agree @Willmoy1947.

A lot of the times in the past, he's had to make the decision to fly because there were one or two opposition about to easily mark the ball. Our entries were poor and you can see he almost always stays down if our tall forwards are competing.

He's so fast at getting back on his feet anyway.

With Eddie Betts retired now, I think he's the most skillful and exciting player in the league.

I've loved the way he's continued to learn to dial down the more aggressive elements of his game.

The package of his offensive and defensive elements together make him more valuable than his counterparts such as Cameron and Bolton. People miss the one percenters he often does so well.

Watching him come from beside the kicker to crumb the ball down field in our forward line is something else

I hope we get to see him dance in the red and blue in a couple more Grand finals yet.

Congrats Kozzie!

What I'm loving about Pickett's overall progress is the perfectly normal maturation of a deeper awareness of the system and the situation. I think that is what sets players like Rioli and Bruest apart is the awareness that allows them to not only do the brilliant thing but also make sure it has brilliant effect.

For all the hype about Buddy & Roughhead, having the creativity of both Bruest and Rioli in a team is pure luxury. It was also an underrated aspect of Eddie Betts' game - about 3/4 of his disposals, throughout his career, were score involvements!

Pickett's growing game awareness and demonstrated commitment to personal growth are why any debate about the best small forward from his draft is now leaving Weightman in the dust.

You could almost feel bombers fans lamenting the fact they don't have Kozzi in their team. Amazing drafting by us.

Pick 12

And then Rivers at 32!

We broke the record for number of Zs on one banner, and his real name doesn’t even have one. 🤣

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo

    WELCOME 2024 by Meggs

It’s been hard to miss the seismic global momentum happening in Women’s sport of late. The Matildas have been playing to record sell-out crowds across Australia and ‘Mary Fowler is God’ is chalked onto footpaths everywhere. WNBA basketball rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has almost single-handedly elevated her Indiana Fever team to unprecedented viewership, attendances and playoffs in the USA.   Our female Aussie Paris 2024 Olympians won 13 out of Australia’s all-time record 18 gol

    EPILOGUE by Whispering Jack

I sit huddled in near darkness, the only light coming through flickering embers in a damp fireplace, the room in total silence after the thunderstorm died. I wonder if they bothered to restart the game.  No point really. It was over before it started. The team’s five star generals in defence and midfield ruled out of the fray, a few others missing in action against superior enemy firepower and too few left to fly the flag for the field marshal defiantly leading his outnumbered army int

    POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood

The Dees played insipid, error riddled & uninspiring footy all night and in a lightning delayed match they eventually succumbed to Collingwood by 46 points at the MCG in the final game of the year. Thank God this season is finally over. Bring on 2025.
