Didn't Tom Morris get cancelled? Now he's reporting on the Tarryn Thomas subject... Odd 🤔

No way!  They'd have to throw in LDU as well to make the deal fair for all parties.

Makes sense - experienced leader who can bring the rest of the team with him

Straight swap for Sheezel, or should they hafta throw in a second round pick as a sweetener?

Jordan Lewis type recruitment.

It's smart move by the Roos and don't blame them for having a crack. He'd be perfect for a team with young up and coming midfield like North.

It’s Tom Morris folks. Let’s wait and see if anybody else reports it before reading too much into it.

Yep, it feels very much like a Lewis or Mitchell thing.

I just wonder if we're the ones who have floated this.

Jack slowed down this year and I reckon he's got 1-2 more years of brutal good footy left in him.

If he could get a longer deal at North it might make sense for his family.

The idea of seeing him run around in another jumper, particularly a North jumper is gross though.

Taking the emotional attachment away...

Norf get the prototype professional to lead Norf's midfield for a couple years

Dees get a solid pick

Jack gets his super topped up after winning a flag at his boyhood club

Highly unlike it happens but I dunno if it's that crazy

IF it starts to get reported from other sources then I think it goes from 0-100% real quick given the father/son aspect. Not like there’s going to be player managers leaking rubbish.

Everybody is tradeable for the right price, would be absolutely bizzare seeing Vines in anything but red and blue however

I think it's probably more just Norf discussing names internally more than mutual interest

I'd rate those picks: Solid, Liquid, Gaseous, in that order.

Makes sense for North but this is Tom Morris so I would not place much truth in his work.

He seems to get great dees mail

If this madness was to happen I would prefer a player like Xerri and some pick swaps.

Xerri is soon the be the AA ruck so not sure that'd happen

Which is why I think we're floating the idea via the press.

Zero chance of this happening next year. Maybe down the line when he's 34-35 in his twilight years and he's getting pushed out for younger/fitter mids.

He's the most competitive footballer I've ever seen. If you think he's going to agree to a trade to a bottom-four development side, you're dreaming.

Some of the rumors flying around are just laughable.

As @Binmans PA said, maybe it's us that is floating this idea instead of Jack.

He should be banned now. This guy has had more cases against him previously and North themselves admitted that they’ve tried and failed to rehabilitate him. He doesn’t belong in this league. We can’t be rewarding someone who is a repeated offender in this space with a fat paycheck just because he can kick a footy.

All still in the courts, have to let it play out first.

Or open yourself up for legal action later.  Once found guilty, ban him for life.

I doubt that. Would be sad if that's the case. More likely that North would pose the idea which makes sense for them.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
