You know that's normal, right?

Sydney finished their win over Geelong with 5 players without a tackle, and another five with only one for the game.

Hawthorn had 4 players with zero, and another 6 with just 1.

Today's game has been flawed by missed shots on goal, defence pulled out of its comfort zone, a scattering of bad turnovers in bad places, some iffy umpiring as always and a star player hurt, but it has been a legit effort.

News flash...We ain't Sydney mate.

When a player like Langers has four touches, he has no excuse for zip tackles.

Can we make up a rule where you can make an extra sub so we can get Oliver off the ground for good?

The guy is absolutely killing us

I don't blame Goody for ten players not laying a single tackle for a half.

Just weak and heartless.

Agree, but he keeps selecting them as well as players that are clearly playing under duress that need a spell.

Good tactic player get a free team mate delays handing ball back so team can flood forward. OLIVER has to be dropped.

Our backline is asleep.

Good ol days of 3 defenders up in a contest against one opponent.

And a goal out the back.

On the tequila now

Pies can’t miss and we can’t hit a simple target

Poor old Gawny has to do everything out there.

Goodwin and his stupid gameplan has ridden on the shoulders of 4 or 5 players for way too long.

They should be a weapon but under Goodwin they are a crutch.

I’m turning off and going for a walk.

Sick of this club being led by spud who can’t string a sentence together.

All 3 phases of our game are shot. We were competitive when our forward line was pathetic because we had a good midfield and defence. Now they’re all pathetic and surprise surprise we are dreadful.

This is just about what we can expect from now on…

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
