Our backline needs to man up on their opponents.

Why does Laurie get selected?

Gee we really only have one really effective midfielder and Moore rammed his knee into his kidneys.

Dark days ahead. At least in the Neeld years I had no expectations.

I’d be looking to move on some value whilst it’s still there. We have good talent coming through in Windsor, Pickett, Howes, Bowey, Rivers and Sparrow. I’d be looking to cash in Petracca. Gawn, Viney and May will slow down. We need to replenish our stocks.

Keep Petracca, cash in Oliver.

Your blind loyalty is the joke

Smell the flowers Bing....they aint Roses ;)

Nothing to do with it. Sacking coaches is generally a backward step, it's all on the players. Both North and the Suns brought in "star" coaches and the differences are marginal at best. Improvement can only come through the list.

So who will we pick with pick 4 in the draft. That must have been the shortest dynasty in history.

I hope norf [censored] us

  I absolutely can't stand Billings.

You seriously think we can go MORE backward. Am being quite literal.

Today 100% pathetic

No way we are making the 8. Goodwin lost this team weeks ago. Our game style, if you lose the side, it becomes evident.

Reminds me of. the Neeld days. Dark days!

Blow it up, make some hard decisions on the trade table and hit the draft. We're cooked.

Do we have our first round pick this year?

Just checked the scores.

Any chance of a miraculous come from behind win?

I want to unload on this team. But I’ll hold my tongue. I stopped watching after quarter time and I’m glad I did.

where was the response? The first 5 mins told me all I needed to know. The season is shot, the window is shut and we will likely be clear dwellers for the next while.

Id be looking to do a mini reset end of year. Move on players and coaches. Retire a few and look to a new game plan that can flex on contest and ball movement. It’ll take a few years for it take hold and become finals ready.

All I can say is I’m really disappointed in this club.

I guess he'll be satisfied only when we become North and win 3 wooden spoons in a row. If you are a serious organisation need to make the hard decisions when necessary, not just wait until it all falls apart.

I suppose Trac with broken ribs was actually more effective than Billings

We are playing soft football

This.

Ironically after all the talk from all and sundry that last week's weak effort wasn't acceptable.

News flash MFC, neither is this.

Bruise free footy with poor skills thrown in for a laugh.

The manic play on with errant handballs and a backline that doesn't communicate.

What a waste of a day watching this tripe.

As long as Petty gets dropped....oh wait .

And Maynard hasn't even been tickled.

Last week was a dark one but today hasn't been much better.

Perhaps the club won't say anything after today's loss. One can only hope. But they won't. They'll roll out some tripe about something. Spare us please .

If you can't come out and make a statement against a club that silenced one of our most beloved and best players then forget about anything else.

2024 season RIP.

This is a [censored] joke.

Quit Simon. Seriously just quit

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
