No need to have a crack at him mate. I've seen May miss a bucket load of short kicks.

Not ment to be a crack, I like the kid and have really enjoyed his intercept game of late. Was just a fact. First kick was a turnover leading to a goal. God knows I've had those games back in my day. Sometimes no matter how well the team play it just doesn't go your way. Same with Jefferson who has been quiet but still has a promising future.

No worries I might've taken it the wrong way! I like what I see from him personally but he's still probably 2 years off an AFL debut

I probably should have left off the 'lol' part of the post. He's normally a very good kick.

This is an example of a mature conversation on DL. Wish there was more of it.

Kolt very Impressive, if you wanted a glimpse of why we took him at pick 14 then today he showcased exactly that.

From past watching Casey and today my thoughts  of the forward / ruck options who have been around for a while I believe Fullarton is the only one with enough talent to make it at AFL level. He is a bit light but has the smarts / Ability to get around that problem.

Verrall Good ruckman at VFL level but slow around the ground a pity because he has the size.

Jefferson Hmm Got what I expected. I hope I am the problem because every time I see him he is average at best, cannot mark when  contested. Seems to just drift out of the game.

Kentfield had a good game on debut.   Need to see more.

Of the others McAdam played well but so he should against this Pies side who make us look like champions. Too light for AFL level IMO. At the top level is you are light you need to be very good. He is not very good and at his third club.

Koltyn played well but I am not sure he has the overall ability to be a force at the top Level. Still he shows a lot of promise.

After all we convincingly beat the pies and at any level that makes for a good day.

Well done to McAdam. He needed to go back and find some confidence. Clearly underdone and lacking in confidence at senior level, it’s nice to hear he went out and showed what he’s capable of.
Needs another game or two at Casey to really solidify his own belief in his ability and his body before he comes back to the senior side IMO.

I think if they work on his speed he has got some potential not afraid to get his hands dirty worth persevering.

didn't drop his head tho - still presented, still looked to tackle with intent

The delivery wasn't great but my biggest concern was that he rarely got separation on his opponent. Needs to work on his leading patterns

He doesn't have contested marking ability to compensate.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
