5/5 so far. (Unfortunately didn’t put money on it so kinda happy if one of tomorrow results doesn’t salute)

Literally every result has gone our way so far, although North beating WC doesn’t make a lick of difference to us.

Geelong losing tomorrow would be nice.

but say if you did put $10 on it how much would you have won??

😬

$3490 off a $10 bet but I was never betting on the 7 leg multi so I can’t complain.

The combination of winners so far this round is absolutely sick.

That shows the Brisb loss for us.  Since then we have had bad losses to WCE and Freo.

As we know any team can win on any given day.  However, I wonder what the circle looks like for teams with 3 bad losses (we get a mulligan for the Sydney loss).

maybe the umps can tell us who will win the remaining games

Umps seem to be stacking up the ladder. Geelong and Carlton winning would help this. HQ would prefer Pie$$$$$ tomorrow.

All teams coming off the bye have won this weekend including 2 upsets

I wonder how useful the 'Circle of Parity' is, as I don't see much correlation between each teams results.  What it shows is each team can have a bad loss at some stage; it is just 'raw data'.  It doesn't say much about performance or usefulness as an analytical or predictive tool.

If it is used to explain performance it is better to look at the trend (and we aren't trending so well right now).

Eagles got dudded by the umps.  (But no tears from me 🤣)

Yeo must still be scratching his head !!!

yeo dragged the pill back underneath him; that's holding the ball every day of week

Puddy Tats all over the Swannies

Swans and byes dont get along very well.

This qtr shows no team is immune to pressure. Even the best team in the comp by a mile. Makes me wonder why some teams just don’t dial it up more.

Good. i backed them at the line.

Tis the season for wacky results.

By, the by, comimg into this game the cats have lost 4 in a row, including having had 160 points on them by the suns (who couldn't manage 50 points in their loss to the saints last night).

The giants have lost four of their last 5.

Is anyone writing either team off?

Nah, only us. By our own supporters.

Neither of them lost to the Eagles or by 90pts though.

Or can’t reset at Half Time

It’s all above the Shoulders…

Well, nor did we.

But if you are making comparisons, we haven't lost four on end.

And the cats were every bit as bad  in that loss to the suns as we were against the dockers.

Your implication is that dees fans have 'written off' the team?  Easy to generalise but some examples where that has happened?

And not sure what you mean by 'written off':  Finals? Top 4?  Premiership?

The facts are:

  • our recent results (trend) is not good.  Ditto other teams vying for finals.
  • Top 2 for us is virtually impossible.
  • Top 4 is a challenge.
  • We will make finals and it is up to the team to perform from there.

Still a long way to go !!  No reason why we can't go all the way.

Swans don't have the same hometown umpiring advantage like you see in Adelaide or Perth

To be fair, I've been trying to write the Cats off since 2021.

Bastards refuse to die.

I feel like using the evenness of the competition is giving this group an excuse. The coach and players have already come out and said last week was unacceptable, even Lever said in an interview that complacency has seeped into the group. I absolutely expect a fierce response tomorrow and hopefully it continues on after the bye.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
