NON-MFC: Round 10

Why do the umpires call such line ball calls in such crucial moments. Really feels like they are trying the manipulate results in key moments.

One positive is the blue floppers are out of the 8. Sucked in

See many players run as far and not get penalized

Swans aside the ladder is collapsing.

We need to keep winning to avoid the body surfing tsunami of 3-11 sides

PS How the hell is Collingwood above us !!!!

Ah, I see what you're saying: beaten out by one of their 3 current co-draw-ers (or any new ones in this crazy season!) Those 3 need to make up a bit of percentage but, yes, nice.

So, that's Brisbane's deficit taken care of anyway...

Ouch.

Sadly Brisbane will pick up heaps of percentage.

Duzen madda unless ur Adelaide, Essendon (haha) or Collingwood (mwahahaha)

1 hour ago, whatwhat say what said:

dimma lost the first, what, 9 games of his coaching career?

that worked out orright

Moreover, the Tigers only won two games that season.

Their fwd line is dysfunctional...

And that's saying something from Demonland!

It’s hard to believe they made finals last year.

Gee it's really hard to fathom Richmond beat sydney

I guess it’s a good reminder that as bad as Richmond are and as good as Sydney are at the moment you can’t take any game for granted.

Let’s see how prickly Ross Lion gets with some negative media spotlight.

I wonder what is actually going on at St.Kilda, there must be big problems behind closed doors. They have always been close to the Cliff edge, but this time the Supporters are just going to walk away

Ross Lyon talks alot….

So not the best of games tonight,  but have chosen to watch Saints v freo game. Just to see Jackson mainly

The biggest story of the night is that during the post-match interview he used the word “fruition” 🤯

I assume he meant to say fruiton - a bed made out of fruit, which I assume he sleeps on at night because that's just the kind of thing I'd expect a guy like him to do.

I watched the post match on Kayo, who presumably take the Foxtel coverage.

In the Brisbane rooms ... Darcy, Bolton (Jude) and Jones (Nathan).

Does it really take 3 of them to conduct interviews? Darcy kept looking at the camera while the other 2 were asking questions, mainly Jonesy. It looked ridiculous.

At this point it's not luck

Collingwood’s last forward entry ( for the winning goal) was a result of  an Adelaide quick kick bouncing back 15 metres off the back of the head of a player , straight into the hands of a Collingwood player not involved in the play.

Now that's a banana lounge!!!

Probably worthy of an entry into the No T$ B$ thread.

I mean that is lucky. But winning 11/12 close games is more than luck

There's belief And there's the leading team thinking oh no they're going to run us down like they do every week to the other teams

Self fulfilling a lot of the time And clearly the more they do it the more confident they are

Statistically a bit better, but what about the job he’s been doing on the dangerous opposition?

Held Walsh to 20 instead of 30-35. Did outstanding jobs on Clark from Freo and Whitfield from GWS.

He’s been a significantly improved player from his MFC days, particularly from a consistency point of view.

A shame that Goodwin doesn't tag. Would have been handy on cripps or Walsh

On 28 April David King said the flag race was down to three: Geelong, GWS, Carlton. That was at the end of Round 7.

Since then those sides are a combined 1-8, with the sole win being Carlton over us by 1 point.

This is your regular reminder that David King is, contrary to what SEN calls him, not “the best analyst in football”.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.
