GAMEDAY: Rd 09 vs Carlton

Recommended Posts

Sorry for the repeat posts.

Phone playing up.

I'd sub Woey on for Chin. Surely.

I don't think I've seen blues penalized once for htb.

Funny last week it was  7 out of 10 frees .

I was going to say our backline has imploded tonight but if our midfielders let them waltz it out of the middle then it's tough.

Pickett fence you were right Jvr is having a rough season.

Kozzie simply took his eyes off the goal then. Looked away for some strange reason and missed

What a shame we let the blues kick the first five.

We have responded well this quarter.

Of course the umpires haven't given Carlton another dozen frees in the 2 nd and 3 rd.

Gee there have been some really unforced and lazy efforts by not a few tonight.

I hope Goody drops a few.

Billings one.

BILLINGS NEEDS TO BE DROPPED.

Fritta really needs to lift. Petty has gone back to playing bad footy.

What is it with Thursday night games and our capacity not to play well

We did alright against Crows
😉

We need to learn from this game and stop gifting games to any player out of form.

I agree Sam.

Unfortunately Goody is stubborn and seldom makes statement changes.

First things first we CANNOT concede the quick reply from the blues as they have done all game.

We really need to snag two more to keep this to 3 goals in the last.

Gee we have ruled this quarter.

Lost it at the start with being asleep and some shocking umpiring.

Remove the latter from the first quarter and we would be down by two or three goals.

Bowsa might’ve been the wromg option on a wet night.  Plays the short game too often which is not what's needed in the wet.  And the decision to kick to the smallest guy in the forward line coming in under little pressure.

Probably needed a run at Casey first and kept playing Woey on a dewey night who plays a longer game.

Chin trying hard but doesn't impact often enough when he gets his opportunities for mine.  And aside from a few moments in this quarter his F50 pressure in general hasn't been at the  level you'd expect from a small pressure forward.

Billing’s that’s enough. How many chances

C'mon I saw him kick it to a team mate who marked it.

What more do you want?

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res
