I'm interviewing Melbourne Football Club's small forward Kade Chandler tomorrow for the Demonland Podcast.

I'll be asking him about his road from being overlooked in the draft to his rookie listing to his apprenticeship as a sub to VFL premiership to his breakout 2023 season to mainstay in the Forwadline and much more.

If you have any further questions let me know below and I'll see if I can squeeze them in.

I will release the podcast at some time tomorrow so stay tuned.

What would you say is the small forwards key role? Clearly it was originally as a crumbing option but it’s evolved to be so much more. When the coaches analyse your match performance what do they impress upon you the most…..goals, defence, 2 way running, finding space, crumbing???

What would you put down as the area you’ve improved in the most and also the area that needs most improvement?

Also congratulations on working your butt off to make it and then clearly continuing to improve as the years go by. I take my hat off 👍

Kade Chandler is a great story can you ask him how he is faring with his knee issues and how did he develop such a weapon with his kicking, running and marking.

I had that one worded a bit differently but might use some of your wording along with mine if you don’t mind.

Not at all.

Can you please let him know he's trusted when he lines up for goal. An accurate set shot.

Can you ask Chin about the lure to Adelaide and what kept him at the club. What is it about the Dees he loves? On that note, thank him for staying, he is one of my favourite players to watch on ground. He is like a terrier/pest without the ball in hand to the opposition on ground.

Can you ask him to get in Petty’s ear 😬😳😜

Fabulous thanks Andy

I realise it's not open access nor easy to get hold of anyone within the four walls.

But if there's any chance we could snaffle Sam Radford for a quick catch up to talk game style and tactics at some point!

Alternatively maybe Choco if you haven't caught up with him before or for quite a while.

Thanks Andy for the interview.

Very well spoken is Kade and represents the club well.

Hopefully his knee concern doesn't hinder him too much going forward, but at least he can get on the park.

Thanks Andy great interview Kade answered your questions with candour and great  knowledge of the game, our boys are so well drilled and know what is expected from each other. Fills you with confidence regarding all coaches AFL / VFL alike. Well done Kade Chandler.!

Fantastic interview Andy and Kade, as well as Demonlanders who contributed to the thoughtful range of questions posed to Chin.  This is exactly the sort of interview that makes Demonland the premier supporter site in the AFL.  Well done all!

I love Chin’s praise for Nibs. Except he called Nibs the ‘pinup boy’ when I think he meant ‘poster child’ 😂

Is there a real difference WCW?

Yes. A pinup girl is an attractive person, pictures of whom would be pinned up on boys’ bedroom walls, for eg. A pinup boy is the male equivalent.

A poster child is a representative (or  ‘face’) of a campaign or a cause, for eg.

Nibs is more than a pretty face 😁

Although to my friend who has no interest in AFL (I know, sacrilege), Nibs is the only player she has an interest in because he is a pin up boy to her!

Fantastic interview Andy 👌
