That duck of the shoulder and throw the head back from Tex Walker was embarrassing.

I reckon if Carlton were trying to get the win instead of Adelaide, there would have been about 5 frees paid in that last minute or so.

If I were Nicks, I’d be furious at the players for the way they played in the last few minutes. Selfish plays and the amount of times the players played for frees was ridiculous.

I hate footy so much. [censored] Essendon. [censored] them forever. They make me physically ill.

Agreed. Whether the frees were there or not, the Crows appealing for them so hard made the umps put the whistle away I reckon.

turns out the Crows are rubbish

see you next year.

Rachele single handedly cost his team the 4 points with his dropped sitters and poor decision making when the game was on the line.

Draper unequivocally dived on the ball. That is the most blatant free possible. All the better - need Crows to finish bottom 4 in case they come for Petty.

hey he saw it paid for Merrett so thought it must be ok

Another result influenced by umpires inability to make an obvious call

Really is amateur hour (or year) at AFL HQ

Currently holding pick 5

Nothing like an Essendon win to get the DL natives restless 😬 and we have the bye.

i actually like bombers winning a few early. remember last year all the top 4 talk?

makes them missing finals all the sweeter

Wowwwweeeee.

Crows played for frees. Fogarty. Walker.

Then should have got the holding the ball on Draper.  Sure they were robbed but 🤣🤣🤣who cares !!!!

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #12 Koltyn Tholstrup

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.
