Honourable mention TMac, Petty and May.

May 19 disposals ( filth highest)

And a measly highest nine marks

Mostly contested.

Broken ribs.

The usual suspects to the forefront this week:

6 Petracca - power and precision.

5 Gawn - our Mr Everywhere.

4 May - gutsy performance.

3 McVee - cool under pressure.

2 Fritsch - on target when it was needed.

1 Lever - at his best when partnered with May.

6. Tracc

5. Max

4. Chandler

3. McVee

2. May

1. Fritta

Apologies to Lever, Sparrow and the Duke.

6 - Tracc attack

5 - Max

4 - Steven “how tough” May

3 - Judd McVee

2 - Tom Sparrow

1 - The Duke how cool for an 18 yo

Another VG team effort where everyone chipped in when required, never give in.

6 May - If the Rock met May on the football field he would be a pebble. Inspired, trust the match committee, and we needed him.

5, Trac for giving 100% all night BOG, but for May's bravery.

4 Mcvee. Silk

3 Lever. Inspector Gadget, disguised like a baby giraffe, moves like a leopard

2 Gawn. Captain

1 Sparrow, another solid game.

Crows came to play, we did well.

What a gun McVee is. Superb reader of the play and an elite foot

Trac

gawn

viney (played with the man flu!!)

May (played with no ribs)

Sparrow

JVR (cos he tries so hard, is a great chop out in the ruck, kicked two goals and had 5 tackles…)

6. Trac - strapped us onto his back and carried us forward when it counted. Some elite 1%ers and kept it moving forward at all costs.

5. May - I admit I was sceptical but he delivered with such composure while clearly in discomfort at times.

4. McVee - cool as a cucumber. Rated highly internally and on DL, hopefully the rest of the league now appreciate his huge upside.

3. Gawn - Captains game.

2. Sparrow - on track to go to the next level this year.

1. Fritsch - great return on goals per possie. Signs of the old Fritta - deadly in front of goal. Reading some other posts around the place tonight - oppo supporters are worried about him this year and they should be.

Special mention to Windsor - JT has found one there. Lever - intercept marks when it counted. TMac - looking settled and adding value down back.

May with the 6 votes. Two for each broken rib he played with tonight. An absolute warrior!

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

  • GAMEDAY: Collingwood

It's Game Day and the Demons face a monumental task as they take on the top-of-the-table Magpies in one of the biggest games on the Dees calendar: the King's Birthday Big Freeze MND match. Can the Demons defy the odds and claim a massive scalp to keep their finals hopes alive?

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
