POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Adelaide

Featured Replies

not a vintage performance but we got the 4 points. that's all that matters

umpiring not good. so blatantly biased.

looks like May pulled up ok. played well and totally vindicated decision to select him, particularly first half.

4-1 is a great start to the season. we're in a great chance this year folks make no mistake.

Go Dees.

Phew did what we had to do but geez won’t be watching the replay of that one.

A win is a win is a win.

Onto next week.

GO DEES

That's a four goal advantage.

I salute Steven May.

Bog with broken ribs.

Never had the misfortune. Can't imagine it'd be fun if you needed to force one out

Said pregame I didn't care how it looked, just wanted the 4 points and no injuries.

Really annoyed at Kozzie tbh. His lack of discipline really hurt us in the sf against Carlton last year and he still does dumb stuff like that.

Still very pleased overall though

I reckon we ran out of petrol off a 5 day break.  Did enough to win, then shut it down.  I’ll take the 8 points and roll on.

Picket doesn’t seem to have learned anything from his last suspension.

Looks like he might miss a week again.

He needs to learn from his mistakes.

That certainly wasn’t pretty and a lot of players well down but that is a great result.

No reward for our tackling.

Well done backline.

Adelaide, mostly individuals, trying to win it by themselves.

That's 3 of our away games out of our first five games finally .done and dusted.

Petty rethinking that potential crows trade. they look terrible

Tom McDonald is looking a beauty

Absolutely. I totally wrote him off at the start of the year, he is looking so bloody solid.

Good to win in different ways. Kicking for goal was very ordinary tonight.

Good team effort. Loved Howes in the last.

Petracca best on ground.

Fritta three goals in third.

McVee in first half.

Well we definitely know how to win ugly.

Lets hope for a change and turn it back in to poetry next week

We were absolutely cooked in the last. We put the foot down in the third knowing we would run out of gas in the last. That last quarter was just professional defensive slog. Brilliant. Don’t underestimate how tough these two games were.

Just hung on. Our talls helped out with some last gasp marking. We were tired from a frantic port game.

Job done.

Huge games from Trac and Maysie.

Jibba nails those two first half sitters and it doesn't even get close.

Poor old BT sounded so deflated at the end. 😂

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.
