Looks like we could notch up a fair few this year:

image.png.2dd64e2e9f2661e4772330e3a527c11e.png

The big one to look out for: Petracca in the Finals series potentially.

Spargo just needs a couple more to hit 100. Pickett will likely get his hundredth, and Sparrow's a good chance in the finals too assuming he plays every game and we make it. Tomlinson would be doing pretty well to get his 200 this year.

EDIT: Added in Hunter (thanks Demon Jack).

Lachie Hunter is currently sitting on 197 AFL games.

I know he's been injured of late but you'd think we'll see him in the side at some point this season.

Don't know why but I thought Fritta was going for 200 already.

Apparently he's available for selection this week, which should be interesting given how hot Windsor has started!

Clayton Oliver closing in on 5,000 disposals (current 4838). Going at >50% contested, too.

I suspected that Christian Petracca was closing in on the all-time record for score involvements but then I had a dig around and found that 'they' actually didn't record the stat systematically until  exactly when Petracca was drafted. It is basically his personal statistic and everyone else is just visiting. Sorry, Gary.

Oooh, fun thing I just discovered - Jack Viney got his 1000th clearance just last week!

And Gawn is right on the cusp of a major milestone - his 1st bounce in AFL! Be ready, it could happen at any moment.

Nah, Gawny has said he wants to finish up with a donut on bounces.

Booooooo. I still believe one day he will play a game where he has a stat in every conceivable column.

His 100th was HUGE! It was at Adelaide Oval. His entire family was there including cousins and second cousins and friends and even neighbours. I reckon half of Coldstream was there. A bunch of them came out on the ground for banner with us. And they partied hard, very hard, that night. 🥳 Can only imagine what his 200th will be like. 😅 One family friend just recently and very excitedly asked me when his 150th is. He’s only on 130 and already they’re getting excited. 🤣

There was a stat mentioned by Joe M that Trac had 100 more forward disposals than the next player last year and already leading this year. The ones where you actually have someone playing on you.  Elite midfielders have between 600 and 700 possessions a year, so this must off the charts from a standard deviation perspective. He is the best and most consistent player in the AFL imo.

2024 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

Had to shoulder more responsibility as the club’s injury concerns deepened but needs to step up more as he closes in on 100 games. Date of Birth: 31 May 2000 Height: 186cm Games MFC 2024: 21 Career Total: 95 Goals MFC 2024: 6 Career Total: 34 Games CDFC: 1 Goals CDFL: 0

2024 Player Reviews: #35 Harry Petty

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. It remains to be seen whether Simon Goodwin will persevere with him in attack or return him to the backline where he was an important cog in the club’s 2021 premiership success. 2024 Player Reviews: #22 Blake Howes

After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. One to watch in 2024. Date of Birth: 7 March 2003 Height: 191cm Games MFC 2024: 15 Career Total:  15 Goals MFC 2024: 0 Career Total:  0 Games CDFC 2024: 6 Goals CDFC 2024: 0

2024 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Unfortunately, didn’t quite get there although he did finish equal sixth in Casey’s best and fairest award. Date of Birth: 23 February 1999 Height: 198cm Games CDFC: 14 Goals CDFL: 13

2024 Player Reviews: #10 Angus Brayshaw

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. 2024 Player Reviews: #40 Taj Woewodin

The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute. He is slowly fitting into the team structure but without doing anything spectacular and needs to take further steps forward in 2025 for his career to progress. The clever small was unable to cement a place in the Melbourne midfield and spent most of his time this year with the Casey Demons where he finished equal fourth in its best & fairest. Bowey’s season was curtailed early when he sustained a shoulder injury that required surgery in the opening game against Sydney. SLIP SLIDING AWAY by Meggs

It was a sweaty, slippery night at Cazalys Stadium, a tough slog with low scoring and missed opportunities.  The Hokball Hawks hung on to win by a goal and sit second on the ladder, relegating the disappointed Demons to, almost certainly, finals spectators.   We had to win this match. When news broke of late withdrawals of talisman Kate Hore and key back Gaby Colvin, expectations plummeted, and Demon fans despaired.  The bad news was the signature song of 2024, a season that’s
