What does leave us with picks wise?

Seems a weird trade in face value.

We must be on trading Pick 11.

6,11 and 41 plus whatever we receive for Grundy

That seems a lot to pay to move up 3 places.

To me, it looks like we're going all out for pick 1, but maybe I'm reading into that too much?

Can someone point me to where I find the AFL rules that govern drafting, free agency, compensation picks, academy etc etc.

I have always found it hard to find this stuff on the AFL website and I like to understand what I am reading.

I think it is the Sheldon in me. ( Not the Carlton player ).

Curtin (6), 11 and a future first is probably the most we could offer and about the most the Eagles could get.

North could beat it with Curtin (3), 15, handout future first as well but it’s not better unless they throw 21 in as well and even then the Eagles might prefer 11 to 15,21.

Assuming North wouldn’t put pick 2 and 3 or their own future first on the table.

Should we do it, not sure. But it’s probably on the table.

Yeah don't know how I feel about this to be honest. Giving up a fair bit to just 3 spots down.

I wonder if Geelong would have accepted 14, 27 and 35 for pick 7.

Might be a 2nd episode to this pick swap that the clubs involved aren't in a position to announce yet?

Surely 6, 11 and a future first wouldn’t get it done for pick 1?

And I’m not sure how I feel about packaging them up for anything less than that, i.e. pick 2 or 3

Will be very curious how this plays out…

this makes no sense?

Silly move, 1300 points for 2300 points.  Crazy.

And? We don’t need points.

We clearly don’t think we will take more than one maybe two picks in the draft (plus list upgrades etc).
We are going all in on pick one. Bring it on.

Agree but I doubt we have the currency for pick 1.

How do we compare with the Hawks now ?

Chill, Winston. Tim Lamb knows what he is doing.

It's part of a bigger plan.  I'd say Petty is going.  They are going hard for pick 1.  10 from Adelaide and McAdam for Petty, gives us 6, 10 and 11 to work into pick 1.

We either did this to get into another trade convo or for a specific player and I love when Taylor trades up for a specific player. We don’t need ND27, we need talent.

And don’t get me started on points…

We've been here before.

Let's see what the result is.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
