Out: Brayshaw JVR Laurie

In: Turner Spargo Woey

Turner to play forward or back if needed got nothing to lose might aswell give him a crack forward

Not sure if this has been mentioned but Max had his foot stomped on and is in a moon boot. Apparently it is cautionary and he has had scans.🙏🏻

Its friday, its already on sportsbet.

Also means the prelim will be friday as itll be interstate.

The reason is that you cant give port v saints/gws (whichll be saturday) a 6 day break into a prelim - so the pies will play their prelim on the Saturday.

Collingwood will be playing the Friday night prelim as the number 1 ranked side, if the last 11 finals series are anything to go by.

And in 2018, Collingwood played a Friday night prelim of a 6 day break, after playing GWS in a Saturday night semi final.

The radical move is Max to the TMac position and Grundy to ruck. Carlton will be forced to defend against Max on the 50 allowing space to Fritsch. Make sure Chandler is at Max's feet to take the crumb or handball. Max should not kick unless he has to.

You do realize you have just caused a panic attack amongst many on here.lol

I couldn't see us losing on Thursday and now I can't see us winning.

If we kick straight, we'll win.

If we don't, we won't. I think it's that simple.

We'll win all the other stats just like we did against the pies.

I don't see Grundy helping our goal kicking. Stick with TMac rusty and all as he is. IF we can get it into his hands he's a much better set-shot.

I think spargo should come back in. I'm a big fan of his because he can deliver a pass. He might be able to find Tmac and Fritsch on the lead. He has lost his form badly this year, i acknowledge that, and has rightly dropped but jeez we need his kicking skills and I50 delivery. Worth a punt, i think.

? We lost most key stats to the blues when we lost to them. They play a similiar profile to us. Kicking straight is a start but won't be enough.

Kick straight, stop Curnow, win clearance, and negate Weitering. That would do the job.

Yep, they're definitely bringing in Grundy.

Do we contest the JVR suspension? Try to argue a low impact grading?

In my opinion we haven’t got a hope in hell of getting him off. Ironically I reckon the ferals have a better chance with Maynard.

Work that one out!

Grundy for JVR

JJ for Brayshaw

Woey or Spargo for Laurie

Do we start Smith as Sub? Go with smaller Fwd line? He provides really gpod flexibility and a boost of athleticism late in 3rd... Can cover a key back / key fwd support a shuffle across half back or fwd

At home games when the team runs out we play the opening bars on Eminem's Lose Yourself:

Look, if you had one shot or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted in one moment
Would you capture it or just let it slip?

We let it slip against Collingwood in that first quarter of the QF and have paid the price.  It all comes down to that in this SF and beyond.

Petracca needs to play midfield with Brayshaw out.

The Casey player who has been "good" up forward over the last 6 odd weeks is AMW. It's him Woey or Spargo.

Spargo's form at Casey has been middling at best but he has finals experience.

Can't see Jordon or Laurie performing meaningful roles.

BTW... Time for Sparrow to play a blinder !!

That I believe is a very good omen

Petracca has to play more time forward with JJ replacing Brayshaw

We need to dominate the midfield. JJ is not the answer

I meant in the form of 4 straight MCG games against teams we're favourites against.

We weren’t favourite on Thursday night

We need to get creative. No point going with TNac and Grundy as forwards. Roll the dice with May forward and possibly Turner. Tomlinson to Curnow, sole job just stop him pack marking. Jordan your time to shine is now, show us that you are a keeper. Petracca back to the middle, all night. The first 30 minutes I want to see someCarlton players on their backsides. Play with some mongrel, don't worry about the consequences should a tackle slip a bit high. Tackle to hurt.

Waffle, we’re not playing May forward and I’m almost certain Tomlinson won’t play. We play tough, hard football every week. If you haven’t seen that already I can’t help you.

Carlton play Walsh, Cripps, cera and Hewitt out of the middle.
we play viney, trac and Oliver. Brayshaw was our 4th. Not sure who does this job now? Sparrow?

Don't forget Brodie 'working on his forward craft' Grundy

Be funny AF if Grundy came back in and kicked 6... Whatever happens with team selection we need to belt Carlton. Dees need to make a huge statement.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
