How are Collingwood favourites for the Qualifying Final? Is it simply because most punters are supporters of those sides and there are more Collingwood supporters? I don't get it. Surely at best for them it should be dead even in the odds / Premiership race, given finishing 4th is the same as 1st this year (because of the venue). Not sure wearing white shorts and a royal blue jumper will inhibit us...

Home final, recent record against us and I guess some "experts" think their ceiling is higher. It also doesn't help our issues in our forward line.

To Melksham, in case you won't be able to come back on time for the QF, don't worry, I'm quite sure your team mates will beat Collingwood. Take your time and get your body right, hopefully you can come back for the Prelim, we need you by then.

To Laurie, your lightning-strike kick to Kozzie was Magnificent, keep your good work.

To Brayshaw, you have been playing excellent footy for 6-7 weeks now, have a good break, see you in the QF.

these last two weeks especially, we have rolled up the sleeves and got to work in the second half.

our second halves are back this last couple of months

we have played the G really well this year

IMO whoever wins our next game, wins the GF

so proud of the club, three top four finishes in a row

How many games are they in front at the end of the season that is why pure and simple.

Home final? It's a home final for both clubs

Record against us? We beat them the last time we played

Some 'experts' think their ceiling is higher? More 'experts' i've heard think we are the best side in the comp

Take away the travesty of justice in the Carlton game, we would have won 8 in a row. I think we've got more going for us than they have for them. They're without Daicos too, their best player.

Outstanding win.  Belief, determination, strength and class. Petracca, Fritsch, Viney, May, ANB just huge!!

Many others too, including the coach.

Bring on September. It's our time!

Forgot about Nibbler. Outstanding final quarter.

Interesting win. Felt like we were going along in third gear but did enough to win. Fritsch is a star. It’s easy to forget how incredible he is.
All the talk about Adelaide’s score review, a dodgy score review cost us second spot!
Smash those pies!

Apparently Tmac was good today at Casey. We couldn't ask for a better comeback for Fritta. Don't mention the foot.

If Milk is Ok than we have gone from a suspect fwd line to a dangerous one.

Don't disagree, just giving you my thoughts on why some punters think Collingwood are favourites. I personally think we are the favourites for the flag.

We all appear very confident of getting over the Pies. That’s my only concern. Where’s Jimmy Gadson when you need him?

I’m not confident. Was a good win today but;

Our talls at either end are uncertain. Disco didn’t lock down the spot. No idea what our best available forward mix is. We need as many talls as possible but also as much pace as possible as we’ll get exposed for transition pace if the Pies get to the outside.

Hunter and Langdon both got killed by Gulden and consistently leave too big  a gap behind themselves in the zone with the half backs struggling to patch it up. Especially with Salo’s lack of speed.

Gawn is a liability at centre bounces if he can’t win the hit out and we look slow and top heavy in there. De Goey’s power and Pendles ability to hold space for himself are both going to cause huge issues. Oliver showed some good signs today but isn’t exactly in peak form and Gus is now getting squeezed out and having his weaknesses exposed by being more in space.

If the Swans kick straighter they might’ve had a match winning lead rather than 3 goals which would could peel back quickly.

Strong win, good win, no big reason for optimism in to next week

A message that the vast majority of Collingwood supporters simply don’t get… you may win some but you will lose more

Barnstorming and impressive final quarter but yet again we were slowish starters. Is Goody feeding them sleeping tablets that last until we're down by several goals? We can't afford a sluggish start against the Pies or we'll be history by halftime.

Fritsch's ability to find space inside 50 and finish effectively made all the difference. Wrong-footing defenders is one skill that van Rooyen still needs to master.

And a special mention for ANB, often the target of criticism. Today his intelligent and non-stop running, improved distribution and even a touch or two of previously unsuspected finesse proved his value when we were under the pump.

Rotten luck for Melksham if his injury is serious, but at least in TMac we have a readymade replacement.

Yet with all those negatives you rolled out we still won by 21 points.. *facepalm*

We'll beat the pies.

Only listened to a poor radio coverage

but were we 17 or 18 points down , ten minutes into the third ?

and we win by 21.    That is impressive given the circumstances against a top 8 team.  Go Dees

I'm actually glad they're favourites. Increases the chances of those Collie's being wobbled.

They would love nothing more than to be considered underdogs.

I’m sure Binman will be all over this in tomorrows podcast.

But it was evident that we really put the after burners on at 3QT. That quarter is still concerning as we have seen it in a few games throughout the year.
