If Tmac and Tomlinson get through unscathed at Casey atleast one has to bepicked to play next week. We have try something up forward again FFS.

Woe having a solid game around the stoppage.

A good chance to come in for JJ if he continues

So Petty, JVR and Jefferson are not AFL standard? Ok Jason Taylor tell me more

Agree JNM. As we won our 2021 flag he wouldn't have been thinking of BBB  or Tmac so near their end due primarily to injury. Also Petty snd Fritata st same time.

Also JVR and MJ plus are great prospects.

By your standards Goody and JT should be looking at defenders now to add to Disco and Jed Adams and you may be right.

Dunstan’s stats line looks impressive.

Any chance next week?

Probably not but I'd have him as an emergency everyday of the week over Harmes.

Been watching the dodgy VFL webstream all day - didn't realise it was on Free To Air lol.

Has Tmac shown enough to usurp Brodie??

He looks like someone who hasn't played a game of football for three months.

In all seriousness, he's competed ok in the air and ruck. Our inside 50's haven't helped.

it's literally the ch 7 broadcast tho?

spargo a moral to play afl next week if he gets thru the rest of this game and training during the week unscathed

too good for vfl level

Not for mine. I think we go with Grundy for another week.

I'm not bright.

The cupboard has Ben Brown, TMac, Petty and Fritsch in it. The list has plenty of tall forward talent, the problem is injuries.

Ben Brown and Tmac dusted, Petty is a possible, milkshake dusted, Jefferson looks to be a 50/50 at the moment. Van Rooyen and Fritta are the only true positive targets. We should traded for a forward rather than Grundy. 2019 we new weid was a lost cause.

Yeah. Schache is the answer. Not.

Ok, and which key forward was on the market last year?

That makes three!  Duh

McDonald going pretty well as the game goes on. Tomlinson too.

I wouldn't be upset with Spargo, Tomlinson and McDonald into our best 22 come finals time. I think McDonald needs the time in the VFL but could very well be the answer for us for the 4 weeks of September.

We may replace Jordon with a non-mid but if we wanted another mid (and I’m of the view our midfield depth is too thin compared to our competitors) surely Dunstan is doing everything we’ve been asking of him.

31 disposals, 7 tackles and a goal to 3QT is a fair effort, although admittedly I’m not watching and therefore have no insight into quality of his disposals or the impact they’re having.

Those disposal figures differ greatly from the AFL Live app for Dunstan (app says 31) and Harmes (app says 25).

Dunstan rarely hurts with his possessions at VFL level.

At AFL level he doesn't get enough

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
