Anyone know the last Demons player to kick 6 goals straight in a game?

I'd like to lock in Kozzie in the Alice last year for $2000.

tactical, cos they subbed miller out so we needed to go smaller defensively to keep the match-ups the same

👍 They also moved balta forward not long after

Tommo spot would have to be safe with petty starring forward and Smith the super sub

Ahhh you humblebragged your location finally 🍷😇

Haha. Of course an engineered slip. But I'm thinking of moving here: to see the town flying the red and blue in September would be an awesome sight, and I think I can rally the local folk.

Agree to disagree, didn’t read any comment in the pre game thread that had Petty kicking a bag. I’m glad that he did. I just find it childish when people want to carry on with their “to those who doubted…..”, footy’s an emotional game. I was wrong and I’m happy I was.

If I didn't read it, nobody ever thought it possible. Love it

And then snipe. Childish? Read your comment again. That's childish, very subtle though, well played.

I don't want to rub it in, we're all friends here. I get it wrong as much as anyone.

Who picks this in round 1 😂

Petty not a forward hey????

He had me fooled, though mostly because I figured he was backline glue.

Let's see how it plays out over time

Max Gawn in the mood has to be the most dominant player in the game.
Best ruckman I've seen.

Albanian heritage. Not sure if born there or here. Probably here.

Olds?

Albanian background but majority of the Yze's all grew up in Shepp.

We’re all talking top 2 now dude, top 4 is so last week

For three quarters today the result was in the balance. But for our fantastic finishing burst, we could have had the chasing pack at our heels.

Can the 'Petty's not a forward' crew please stand up, please stand up, please stand up.

And then sit down, and shut the [censored] up!

Yeah, Guilty as Charged!! AMAZING PERFORMANCE!😁

I can put my hand up as being in that camp, but to be fair no one saw this coming. Nothing he’d done playing fwd this year gave any indication he had a game like that in him.

Except the first half against Hawthorn before he got injured was bordering on awesome.

I'm in Albania and would like to get the small town I'm in flying our flag for the finals. If anyone knows where his family is from it could help convince.

We made the sub first because our backline was far too slow and was getting exploited.

All the Tommo truthers might deny it but he has a stinker. Coughed up easy possession in the middle of the ground consistently. 5 clangers from 7 touches.

Was an excellent move by Goodwin to make a brave early call. Smith had at least one classic Smith moment with the Balta goal but otherwise gave us much needed defensive speed.

I suspect Hibbo takes the 2nd tall role unless they gamble on Smith full time.

Well, I was going to play nice today and wake up nice and early for work tomorrow.

Stuff that.

I think it’s about time to jump into my freezer and see what range of guilty pleasures there are there for me. 😎

I waited for rain to stop after game;
thirty mins later he’s running the boundary with a trainer

As they say in the classics.
"That's what good sides do."
The boys are startin' to sharpen up nicely.

its extraordinary. its was all the umpires. !! talk about excuses.

I thought Richmond melted under pressure in the last, their backline became very shaky, Dusty nowhere to be seen as we just closed them down perfectly.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
