Honestly? None, maybe Pig for Bowey depending on his arm. I think the only ins and outs are injury dependent with only. Anyone have news on Oliver's ETA?

Hibberd needs to be back in the team, he was top-five most important before his injury.

Still too many small forwards, I can see Woewodin coming out (didn’t do a lot wrong) as Chander was great and Pickett finally is showing form again.

Smith is an excellent sub but we really need his forward marking presence more.

I love Ben Brown but he looks cooked physically at the moment but no other option to replace.

I just got word that Petty can now breathe without the assistance of the iron lung so be sure to see him back for Tomlinson as well.

What is the point of Lachie Hunter? He’s utterly ineffective.

176 metres gained. 5 pressure acts. 3 score involvements.

Give Taj a proper crack on the wing. He might make some positional errors but he’s not afraid to run with the ball and he can compete in the air.

I don’t really care who comes in. Harmes, Spargo, Hibbo and sliding Salem, Riv or Bowser up.

I was puzzled by the suggestion in the pre-season that his kicking was a strength, it’s anything but.

Hunter won't be dropped. Having a brilliant season imo.

Hibbo is a good in. But won't be for a tall.  Probably comes in for Bowzer or McVee?  Both stiff.

Interested to see if Grundy comes back this week or next. If he does, does Roo come out or BBBB? I think we can only play with 2 of 3 in the team.

It was good in preseason when he had time, space and no consequence.

But any time he’s asked to do anything but 20m down the line he butchers it, and he’s rarely out and running to do that (or anything more).

I actually thought at the Bulldogs he had more depth in his kicking. Going short all the time makes you think he has a groin/leg issue? He still contested the pill reasonably well.

Like which part?

Kicking? Goals? Overhead marking/spoiling? Defensive pressure as a stoppage sweeper? Attack on ground balls? Tackling?

The one thing he does to an ok standard is positioning in transition but he can be exploited by teams when he’s dropped back too far too.

He’s just completely meh.

Yeah I agree with this - both stiff but I’d like to see Pig back

Every game a danger game from here on in, don't bring it and we'll get done. No cockyness, no arrogance, no whinging that the media aren't talking nicely about us. Get on with the job.

Not having Petty today didn't help, Tommo wasn't bad but we could have used the rebound of Petty. Would like to see Hibbo back in.

We absolutely need Hibberd to take on Martin. If Petty is ready, in for BBB, as a FORWARD!!!!!

He’s kicking efficiency for the year is 56.8%, Ed Langdon’s is 63%. He can run all day but personally would rather others on the wing but don’t see him getting dropped.

Surely Brown has to go, unfortunately he’s just not getting it done anymore

Woey not quite ready yet

Petty if fit to go forward, if not Smith for a full game

Hibbo in for his bunny Dusty

I saw Dunstan had a big game in the VFL, I’d be considering bringing him in for Hunter, and pushing Gus to the wing. Run kozzie in the middle and use Rivers too

I reckon people are harsh on brown.. he gets sheizen delivery. When he was out in space he was ignored. He was all alone inside 50 in a central position when JVR took a mark in the centre square , JVR turned his back, then kicked to him out wide on the souther stand side , not to his favour. I think he is judged harshly

I don’t mind it, but I think we’d almost have to bring Harmes in for JJ as well in that situation to make sure the midfield has enough speed.

And handing over the reigns from Gus who despite his many faults is having a decent go to our VFL mids is a risk.

Watched the game from behind the goals at the punt road end and felt Jordan struggled, would like Smith to start, maybe Jordan sub. Might have missed some good work of Jordan- so will watch replay first before locking that in.

Hunter is the new ANB. Everyone wants him dropped every week. And he never will be.

Agree he’s almost playing as a decoy, but he just doesn’t look fit enough anymore

If Petty is right bring him in as a forward and drop Brown. Maybe Hibberd in for Woey.

People forget about Grundy playing as a forward. It should not happen. He will be at Geelong next year.

Petty needs to rest for another game and earn his recall back at Casey. I thought his last two games in the ones were VERY ORDINARY!. THOMMO STAYS !!

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
