Viney is being well shackled. Badly need Oliver back in this team to drive the team forward

Thank goodness they can't kick straight

They would be ahead if they kicked straight.

Momentum swings so much. Need to be more consistent.

I tell you what watching live is far less stressful than TV.

We look far more superior in structure but have been a bit clumsy with disposal and i50 entry. Nothing that cannot be tidied up.

Lucky to be in front at halftime. BBB's AFL career must be very close to the end on that showing.

Both Brown and TMac are at the end. Both contracted for next year. Expect both to finish up then or retire early. Their bodies are shot sadly. Both great servants of the club and will be fondly remembered premiership players once they hang up the boots.

At the game, and the lack of (defensive) pressure in the forward 50 is staggering! Ugly signs, and we’re going to get run over if we don’t improve our contest and pressure, Jack Viney excused, and assuming Crows have the legs. Can’t exit defensive with any conviction, can’t keep it in our own. Awful football, except for that bright 10 minutes.

I hate jumping on the bandwagon when it comes to our KPF’s, but BBB is not providing a contest.

I don't know why they persist with BBB

He's been lacklustre. No doubt about it. I think Petty is a better option. But it won't happen.

I think Bbb gets another half a quarter before Smith is subbed .

Good to see Chandler back in the goal scoring.

We need to biry this side in the third. Are we seriously competing for a cup this year. No more just scraping in fgs.

I think Max is tired from last week. Nice goal in the first but only three touches since. Lever not doing much. Anb needs to lift again.

Milk is continuing his good form thank goodness

This game is poised at even money right now

Yep, coming out way too quickly/easily.

Whats so hard to have our talls bring it to ground with our smalls locking it up?

Keep M Crouch and rankine quiet in the second half and we win comfortably

All about starving supply, but they’re attacking much more than us, just have wasted shots.

Has definitely been the case today: reckon he’s been better in the previous few weeks

M crouch hadnt been able to get an AFL game, we should be able to quell his influence but I agree keeping rankine quiet is a challenge

Maybe it is time for Petty to play forward and make Tommo a permanent fixture down back. I thought BBB was turning the corner a bit last week but he's off the boil today.

Adelaide desperately need the 4 points to stay in the finals race. They're not going to go down easily

Hopefully Goody straightens us back up at the break.

Gawn has only 4 disposals to. Our midfield haps to do better to.

Trac very off today

Grundy>BB

Yep, I think we have to have a tall beside JVR to give him that help. If not BB it probably has to be Grundy

Minding their pacy forward is proving to be testing and the hit up mark on the wing hasn’t been there. Need the forwards to rotate up to be that option. Brown, trac, melk and JVR.  Adelaide doing lots of block/grapple work to keep them quiet. Umps will chirp in if our forward go the ball in air (as they have a couple times already)

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
