GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs Geelong

Hoping for a lift from Chandler, he was kicking some rippers earlier on, c'mon Kade hit the goals with some X factor.

I feel the same about Kossie. Given it his "special outing" in the Alice next week, tonight wouldn't be a bad time to turn it on and create some consistency.

Tracc to keep going, I can see him frequently breaking the lines.

Over handballing and balls to players under pressure have been a problem. Hoping for some smart footy and not getting lost for space on those shallow wings.

Go Dees.

Hawkins is actually a really really nice down to earth guy off the field. He's spent a lot of his own time with a friend's kid in the last two years who was battling aggressive cancer, and is a mad Geelong supporter.

But for some reason, when he plays football, he is just the worst. Maybe it's the stuff he gets away with, the blatant holding and pushing, the 'accidental' elbows, and the greasy limbs that do my head in.

Yea your right, I've heard some of the good things he does. I guess  he just plays the game hard. I don't like his wayward elbows but I think he is a very good footballer. Even at his age I wouldn't mind having him our team.

It takes a special type of moron to schedule a game in Geelong on the night of the winter solstice when the MCG is vacant until Sunday.

Just play it in Siberia and call it a day.

Just reinforces how deeply the AFL (and related Corporate Elites / benefactors) are in bed with the Cats.

Some serious $$ and conflicts of interest happening with decision making.

Even more so than the regular AFL tripe/bias they dish up.

Watching and supporting this sport feels like we have to spend time with these morons week in and week out.

If these people were acquaintances or friends of friends, I wouldn't be spending time with them or returning their calls.

Was it Windy Hill or Princes Park that was reputed to have the longest public urinal in the world i'd seen it but cant remember  which ground.  I recall some footy diehards being upset when it was dismantled. Where would you put it  ffs?  In a museum?

the whole of windy hill was just one big urinal

most punters didn't bother going to the toilet sheds ... unless they were good swimmers

Watching Classic matches on Fox between us and the Cats. The 2018 game at Kardinia Park is currently on.

Players that played that night no longer with the club.

Hogan, Jones, Lewis, Tyson, Frost, Bernie Vince, Jay Kennedy Harris, O Mac, Garlett and Jetta.

Chandler hit the post twice against collingwood so he's getting closer!

I have, actually. Once you get past the changing dirty nappies phase It seems it’s smooth sailing for the rest of the journey! That is, if you lay the right foundations. 😉 I have three beautiful sons who have been nothing but an absolute joy to raise. I’m ridiculously proud of the men they’ve become. I manufacture great humans, even if I do say so myself. 😁

just a crying shame none of them like footy 😭

Oh come on now tell me it rains lemonade.Sounds like a yanky sitcom of MY THREE SONS.You have a perfect life and get to support the DEES.

Good morning DemonWorld........and what a fine morning it it’s in my part of the world....

woke up this morning (always a good way to start the day given my age), have showered, shaved and done the other thing. Had a healthy breakfast and just now sipping coffee and savouring the prospect of a great win in the offing.

We will declaw the cats in t’the third after spending the first quarter seeing what they bring to the table and then upping our pressure to take the game away from them and leave their season in a smouldering heap of ashes.

so, as you see, I am feeling confident.

Damn! It’s good to be alive and a Demon supporter.

Dees to win.

Well, it is Geelong's home game (why we usually play Geelong only once and it's always their home game is a question worth asking), so if it was at the MCG we'd have to give up another home game & Geelong would have to get one somewhere else.

Not sure what the solstice has to do with anything. The last time the Geelong sunset was before 7:20 was 31/3 and that was only because of daylight saving!

Invite the thai man in for a scotch and a smoke he might bring over some thai food that would cover tea tonight

I really meant between the goals, not "hit the goals".😂l

Agree with you, he was getting closer. Hope it doesn't turn into the yips.

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Unfortunately, didn’t quite get there although he did finish equal sixth in Casey’s best and fairest award. Date of Birth: 23 February 1999 Height: 198cm Games CDFC: 14 Goals CDFL: 13

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed.
