Sicily straight to the Tribunal. HQ is fully cooked.

Sicily sent straight to Tribunal.

That usually means minimum 3 weeks.

I thought he would be unlucky to get 1 week.

What the hell is going on ?

He was on ground and pulled McCluggage down into him and then another player came in and they rolled over.

How is that a suspension at all?

Cornes is correct, no one knows what is going on in the game.

The AFL is really hell bent on ruining the competition in the name of optics.

If Sicily is suspended for that tackle then the AFL Is finished and fans need to start not showing up in protest it’s rediculous

That is the question Red.

No one seems to have the answer .... or they're not sharing it.

Are they trying to take the contest out of the game entirely?

The game is now a real mess and there is no Footy Manager of the AFL in place.

I doubt it would make a difference if there was Red.

As you know the AFL are [censored] their pants over the concussion issue and its legal implications. No one wants to make a decision or provide any sort of definitive ruling in case it backfires.

The result is we are left with the weekly chooklotto .

The current situation is intolerable but it looks like it's here to stay for the foreseeable future.

Genuinely torn tonight. Can't decide if I want to see Essendon miss finals more than Voss get the sack.

Essendon fans booing Saad. Really? Really, chumps????

A Blues will help us more and I hate them less than the scum.

I'm with you Rab. I will ease my inner turmoil by not cheering for either, and enjoying the errors and fails of both teams. I think as the game progresses, my deep-psyche loathing of all things Essendon will emerge the stronger.

Say what you want about both these sides, but you would love to have Wright, Curnow or McKay in Dees colours.

What did you expect?

So if you dump a player in the tackle, 2+ weeks suspension. If you hold them and bring them to ground safely, you get pinged for holding the man.

That is so wrong. Weideman took the advantage and missed

Carlton look like they could play all night and not kick another goal.

I thought the Dees struggle with the default long bomb in hope, but the Blues and Bombers are at another level. They both look bereft of system between wing and half-forward.

Hi all, just thought I’d mention that Peter Wright was playing tonight. The commentators and broadcasters haven’t told us yet.

  • CASEY: Coburg

The Casey Demons returned to their home ground which was once a graveyard for opposing teams but they managed to gift the four points on offer to Coburg with yet another of their trademark displays of inaccuracy in front of goals and some undisciplined football that earned the displeasure of the umpires late in the game. The home team was welcomed by a small crowd at Casey Fields and looked right at home as it dominated the first three quarters and led for all bar the last five minutes of the game. In the end, they came away with nothing, despite winning everywhere but on the scoreboard and the free kick count.

  • PREGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne

After four weeks on the road the Demons make their long awaited return to the MCG next Sunday to play in a classic late season dead rubber against the North Melbourne Kangaroos. Who comes in and who comes out?

  • POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.
