Geez we’ve been lucky with a few umpire calls

As opposed to 10+ the Suns have had

I’ve chucked these idiots on mute. Can’t stand them anymore.

Me too. They are all intolerable.

We are not playing well, the umpires aren’t great, but what is a certainty is that the commentators don’t like us one iota.

Geez they're really talking up a potential for it to he looked at.

A bit of leadership and bring the players in together FFS

Nothing surer than JVR getting a week for that.

absolutely. hopefully not two

That GC player shouldn't have come back on after the hit from Kozzie's knee. He's only getting sent off now because of that earlier hit.

Boofhead just getting upset coz his Dorks are in for a world of pain. Wants the book thrown at JVR because coincidentally we play that rabble next week

It’s disgusting. All for a headline or something sensationalist.

Dunstall for the prosecution. Just shut up you boof head.

Spalding's knee has had him anti-Melbourne since that day.

You should be listening to the radio. They've already said Ben Brown will probably come back in for him

How the [censored] did they get that.

JVR needs a rest imo, a forced one mightn’t be the worst (though I’m sure he’ll get life or the firing squad).

what kind of a handball was that kossie?

just a rubbish goal to give away

Why was the player holding the back of his head on the way to ground when he got hit in the top/front of the head?

He was the same player that smashed his head on the ground earlier in the game maybe already concussed?

  • NON-MFC: Round 02

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Sunday’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.

Never in doubt!!! In Steven King’s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
