Someone needs to turn the lights off for 30 minutes so we can get this game back on our terms.

This game day thread is a great reminder of why I don’t often read the game day thread.

It’s ok to acknowledge the competition is tough, and we are a big scalp. Have some faith.

I understand what you are saying but I really do believe we are playing well below our best and quite lucky to be in front. Hopefully we will run over them but what we've bought thus far isn't great. Our backline looks like it did against Essendon almost.

If Langdon is getting tagged we could send him forward and use Fritsch on a wing to get him in to the game.

Otherwise I’d like to see Fritsch as a lead up half forward and the instruction to kick to the leads rather than bomb it

The Suns have come to play so we need to roll the sleeves and get to work this half.

Our lowest contested possession count in a half for over 3 years. Hmm.  Can’t believe its less than Port 2020 but there you go.

You can see the hangover from the 90 point win with how many stationary handballs and Hollywood stuff.

Pickett cleaning up a very bad decision from Chandler there

Shut up Dunstall you [censored].

I can see Fritsch getting subbed for Harmes here

We need more at the contest

Why don't they just put on Suns Jumpers and play the team song on a loop.

Kozzie you just make me smile

Turner is not close to ready yet

Anyone who’s watched Disco at Casey knows he’s not a deep defender on big talls.

That’s not a fair match up.

No 3rd up from Lever either

Put Petty back FFS. It’s going to cost us the game if Goodys not careful

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
