Judging from the comments I have read today it appears that Turner should get a go in front of Tommo

I doubt we will see Tomlinson in the firsts again. Or TMac

the up and coming on ball brigade are struggling but our obsession with boundary line play makes it tough when it comes to forward delivery.

Should have won but it wouldn't mean much

Yep, I think that will be the case from now on.

Wonder where they got that from, let me think.........

One thing I would agree with the commentary on today.

Tommy looks like he's running in treacle.

It was a bad day for most. No need to stick the boots in, and write anyone off. We will need 3-4 of those guys to gain confidence and play a roll if we are going to go deep in 2023.

You are insufferably negative today.

So you think it was a good game then, and there was no negatives or do only look at the good points?

We really missed those hard bodied and experienced VFL players, Munro, Buntine, and Baldi.

Wow, BBB not taking his opportunity from straight out infront, though not the only one.

We have a few AFL listed players who will have to lift/develop their game, if they want to be AFL standard. Jefferson, Adams, AMW, D.Smith, Farris-White.

Some terrible field kicking and missed opportunities killed us.

Nearly stole it.

Why were Buntine & Baldi left out?

The Araldite (White + Munro) back will make a big diff next week.

He was somewhere between solid & good - nowhere near outstanding.

I thought D.Turner turned the game and momentum, by those intercepts in the third. Played a good game in a dysfunctional backline. They couldn't zone well as they let the opponents get to the ball first and very few attacking moves that came off, (couldn't find a corridor).

Tomlinson needs some confidence, his leadership and structural set up down back appeared to suffer, as well as his poor decision making, slipping over and switching off. He usually dominates and supports D.Turner very well at this level.

I always look at the bright side. It’s one of the reasons everybody loves me (the other 2 reasons are that I’m drop dead gorgeous, and that I’m very humble).

Should we recruit Bell as a back up ruckman ?

Played a good 1st half, and I thought the same thing, but left in the second. Consistency is needed, especially at the level he is playing.

Give it a [censored] rest, will you. If there’s more than one way to say something, without exception you’ll choose the most belligerent, abrasive way of saying it. It’s unpleasant and unnecessary.

I love you for that first reason, which is good since I think you’re full of [censored] re the other reasons. 😁

Good summary.

Yeah true. But in my defence it’s very hard to be humble when you look this good.

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
