These [censored] wce supporters are close to being insufferable.

They already are in my books.

Neal Bullen with 7 tackles to half time

Each game brings its unique challenges which are different from the assumptions made prior. This is a good test. And yet we are double their score.

Fair dinkum, the biased umpiring in the West Coast games should come under investigation. Of course nothing will happen with the protected species they are. Makes watching so hard.

The Ump #6 is atrocious.  Dumbfounded by his calls thus far.

In a game like this you look for positives........

Fritsch ... maybe

I'm positive we could use the ball betrer and umps could start to ping eagles players for incorrect disposal.

Fritta on fire. Oliver his usual self. We are using are wings again well. Anb working hard.

We've had a very hard start to the season. Im happy to just get through this game with a win. And no injuries. We are travelling again next week.

God, there's a name I was happy to forget🤮

Didn't think he was still around

We are doing ok. It’s hot, the Eagles have a plan, and 4 supporters on the field pretending to be umpires.

I feel like some of our players are doing well. Jack Viney is growing with every game, Nibblers tackling has been great, and Fritta knows where the goals are.

Koz needs more work on his goal kicking. It’s a raffle. He’s much better in traffic.

she lives 100 metres away.  She will be there.   Good on ya Rosie !

I’m not at the game, 640MD. I’m watching it on the big screen at a pub in Richmond, celebrating another crazy Dee’s birthday.

And a 6 day break and yet, Saints and Bombers yet to leave Victoria.

LOL how quickly it goes from 100 point thumping percentage booster to I just want a win.

Good sides bury this mob with 7 out, it's all about percentage for this game.

If we ratchet up our own pressure and really crack in and win contested footy, we’ll do much better from stoppage and that should hopefully clear up transition from d50.

Trac has 2 contested possesions, no tackles and 1 clearance so far. Needs to lift.

He will.

The Eagles are cracking in and taking it on. Nothing wrong with our effort but our focus and attention to details is lacking. Would prefer us to simplify and stop the Hollywood handballs.

Yeah credit to WC for putting in the effort but we have not come to play. We are taking it too easy. Playing loose and not enough effort with ball use.

I always worry about games we should win easily that we get to complacent and dont come out to play. today seems to be a bit like that, we lose to bottom sides too frequently. We need them to focus on beating this mob, playing our brand of good football not their wresting match which leaves many decisions in the umpires hands, either to ignore frees that are there or pay them. so far we seem to have gotten the short end of the stick. Given the heavy eagle crowd i dont see that changing in the second half. We need percentage and show that we can beat sides well.

We're a good side but that's just not the Melbourne way.

WC will hit a wall at 20-minute mark. Will still be a 10-goal win.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
