I was really happy for Chandler he settled straight into the game he showed his toughness and as Dazzle mentioned his elite kicking skills inside 50, he worked hard and was relentless in a fast flowing game. He really should have nailed that shot after the siren but did enough for a starting 22 next week.!!!

Just watched the mini package on Kayo. Plenty of highlights from chandler. Blocking kicks off the mark, goal assists, tackles and slotted a nice goal off his left in the 3rd. only blot was the missed set shot but their were worse misses on the night.

You have to reward that performance. He should be given a run of 3-4 games from here.

really impressed the way he threw his weight around against in contests against much bigger players.

The impending Pickett suspension should see him get a good run of games in.

So @DeeSpencer, Kade just scored an AFLCA vote for his performance, in the resounding win against a rated opposition in the Swans:

9 Clayton Oliver (MELB)

7 Christian Petracca (MELB)

6 Ed Langdon (MELB)

6 Brodie Grundy (MELB)

1 Lachie Hunter (MELB)

1 Kade Chandler (MELB)

Surely his value is up above the $2.00 Mark now?

Given a fair run at it, Kade has settled admirably with his confidence growing weekly. Now the radar is set he is delivering offensively on top of a sound defensive game. Given the degree of difficulty, he kicked some clutch goals against the swannies. Refreshing to see some new faces up forward this season. May the goals keep coming.

Hit a record high of $2.45 after the coaches votes, but has now settled at $2.25.

Work rate, strong hands and good tackle numbers are all positives. Hitting the scoreboard well. Decision making with the ball seems to have settled down.

Would still like to see a bit more speed and pressure.

From around the 0:57 mark there is some great behind the goals vision, showing how far Chandler ran to get on the end of the chain for his 3rd quarter goal.

That play and his subsequent goal swung all the momentum back in our favour after Sydney got within a kick.

What a brilliant video! Actually outlining some of the great running he does.

If you don't know now you know!

Some people should be embarrassed with their cringeworthy posts in this thread and lack of footy knowledge

In the first three games this year Kade is ranked elite in 6 different categories according to greg Stafford.

Outstanding young man who has played brilliantly in a very difficult role as a small forward.

Has become a lock in our best 22 imo.

Just works so hard for the entire four quarters constantly pushing up the ground.

Has become a real asset for the team.

Just so happy for him. Did his time. Never complained. Was always just so happy for his senior teammates. Improved his craft and now he’s flying. You just love to see that!

The cat is out of the bag regarding opposition scrutiny. You never know, the enemy might need to tag him !

Just add him to the list of other team mates that warrant a tag.

Even if didn't get the goal or even a possession, it still would of been impressive because he was prepared to do hard gut running with 100% commitment even though there was only a possibility of a goal or possession

Fast becoming a favourite of mine. He is one of those players who is always nipping at your ankles. Chases, harasses, tackles then gets up and creates an option moving forward and kicks goals. I’d love to see a bit of mongrel in his game and get in the oppositions face occasionally. Not sure that is his style tho..

A little more mongrel, or even arrogance, and I think he could be our version of Tom Papley - who most opposition supporters hate but Swans fans love.  Papely makes most teams nervous but then can bring his teammates to life running around like a excited toddler after he kicks a goal. If Chin can bring that into his game he'd also help the likes of Kossie because there's automatic extra attention paid elsewhere.

He is what he is and we should be happy. He’s tough and hard at the contest. That’s good enough.
Mongrels are born. Don’t believe you can suddenly develop Mongrel. Toby Greene was born that way. No one coached him to add the mongrel component.

First three rounds this year Chandler is ranked elite in the following categories:

  • Goal Accuracy
  • Goal Assists
  • Score Involvements
  • Tackles inside 50
  • Kick Efficiency
  • Marks
  • Ranking Points

My mistake, its seven categories that he ranks elite for.

This.

On the subject, check out his reaction in the background when JVR got his holding the ball free prior to his third goal. Great stuff.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
