I think your over rating Weiderman

Wikipedia is saying Schache is a Melbourne Demon. Also saying Weidemann is a Bomber. Schache has played 69 games for 77 games, Weidemann 59 games for 62 goals.

Trade radio saying Lamb and Dogs signing off now.

Pick 13 turns in to a KPF afterall......

Future 4th rd.

And he's a Dee. Well bugger me, i'll say it, should have just kept the Weed

2nd round pick for Weid

4th for Schache

I know what I’d prefer

True, i agree value wise,

But on field production is an entierly different arguement.

In an ideal world with no injuries, not sure either would crack our best 22 (regularly) but we'll see.

Is Schache better or worse than Weid - the answer is neither.

Is pick 37 better than 54,72 & future 70s pick - for sure.

So, if Schache is on a lot less coin than Weid, which I suspect, this is a pretty handy trade, it's no world beater but a shrewd piece of trading.

Not at all, that's how much I rate Schache

  • Demonland changed the title to Welcom to Demonland Josh Schache

I thought this was a bad dream. But it is going to happen

Schache is as soft as heated butter.
He must be on a heap less money than Weid, that can be the only motivation for this. The ultimate steak knives dealing

Big difference here is the dogs are stacked for forwards. While we are devoid for forwards and weid could never get a game. Came cheap and has a role he can immediately fill.

I wish the same for Josh as I did for Sam.
Get it right above the ears and let’s see how he goes.

  • Whispering_Jack changed the title to Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache

18 games between 2020 - 2022 is hardly a massive endorsement but won rave reviews for his round 19 game against us at the G in 2021 playing as a defender.

A sufficient replacement for Weid.

Downgrade of Weideman.

Status quo maybe.

Maybe the change to our forward half game could result in a dramatic improvement?

Weids certainly couldn’t benefit from our high balls.

I’m not saying it will happen but softness is one thing you can fix. Schache was a baby at Brisbane and traded to the Dogs before he really failed.

He’s now failed at the dogs and genuinely on his last chance.

Clarry’s one of his best mates
Choco is choco
Troy Chaplin just won assistant coach of the year and if I was Goody and Co I’m giving Chappy a special summer project.

Have no idea if this will come to fruition or even come out in the media and I put it down to pure speculation.

Was just having coffee with a few mates who I hadn't seen for a while and one of them is heavily involved with the Murray Bushrangers under 18's as a development coach.

We were speaking about the junior talent and then got talking about this year's trade period.

Out of the blue he mentioned that apparently we've shown some interest in Josh Schache and have had chats to Josh and his management?

I would like to think I can trust his word purely that he's got contacts within recruiting circles and Josh being an ex bushie.

I have own opinion on this and I honestly don't think it's the right fit even though we're lacking a key forward.

I now owe him a box of Northerns....

  • PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

With both sides precariously positioned ahead of the run home to the finals, only one team involved in Sunday’s clash at the Adelaide Oval between the Power and the Demons will remain a contender when it’s over.  On current form, that one team has to be Melbourne which narrowly missed out on defeating the competition’s power house Collingwood on King's Birthday and also recently overpowered both 2024 Grand Finalists. Conversely, Port Adelaide snapped out of a four-game losing streak with a win against the Giants in Canberra. Although they will be rejuvenated following that victory, their performances during that run of losses were sub par and resulted in some embarrassing blow out defeats.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.
