I'm still surprised Neale got a vote against us in the final round

Neale got a vote with only 21 possies against us (equal 9th best) in a 10 goal loss

Hate to be one of those people but definitely felt rigged.

Got off from suspension and polls in the last round, 3 votes, when he wasn't even close to it. Daicos best on by a mile.

Also polled 3 vs Adelaide when they got absolutely destroyed.

Bizarre outcome.

Magnifying glasses out on the appeal process please. Right up until Thurs night they were working this one out while the teams for the next week had been announced. It's a joke

Not a vote for May or Fritsch.  Bizarre

Not that unusual though, forwards or backs don't get votes, has been 30 years since a non midfielder won (Scott Wynd)

Freo Bradshaw didn't have the best finish o the season.

Neale as pointed out ha no competition in the midfield, its him and daylight at the lions.

Oliver still may, he had a great finish to the season, even in our losses.

That's just not true. Neale has to contend with Jarrod 'Please don't hurt me Clayton' Berry.

To be fair, Tracc scored very highly as well. Probably becomes hard for umpires to choose between them. I'm just happy with those two having an outstanding year

And it’s going to really make either of them winning one difficult.

Maybe they should instead aim for the Norm Smiths.

Was good seeing Jeremy Cameron poll well. Not meaning to be pro-cat just pro-votes for non-midfielders aha

I wouldn't have begrudged Cripps a brownlow in his career but this season didn't seem right. Thought he dropped off a bit and the non suspension sucked

Anyone who went to the pre season game and witnessed Cripps absolutely destroy us would have seen that he had got his body right and was in for a huge season.

Cripps is an arrogant and irrelevent person

Doesn't come across as arrogant. Maybe we could have had him to speak to LJ about living in Melbourne and dealing with it

There's no way this brownlow was above board, there's just no way. Please start the investigation now, we'll stay with this all night if we have to.

Agree. How much would it cost for an official investigation?

Cripps would even acknowledge within himself that he did not deserve that.

What a stitch-up. They even gave Neale 1 vote in the last game to make it appear closer. can think of 8-9 players that deserved a vote before Neale.

Joke.

My impression was the same. However, Neale actually got 29 possessions (2nd most on the field) and the highest AFL Fantasy Points on the ground (whatever that means).

Still, the game was set up in the 1st half and surely with an 11 goal lead at half time, Melbourne players should have been 3/2/1 in that game.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
