What's next for Adem Yze?

Honestly Essendon will just chew him up and spit him out if he doesn't win them a flag within 2 years. Only Hird, the golden drug pusher, could destroy their club for a decade and still be welcomed back with a hug. So let them have each other.

I wonder if Essendon will try to poach Hinkley, which would then open the door for Yze to go to Port. A far better option.

I hope like hell Yze gets a good senior gig because he deserves it, and we should support our own to succeed!

Geez I'd love it if they even simply brought Hird in for an interview. It's real bottom of the barrel stuff that no hoper clubs do.

Yze might have one more chance this year, as I think Bombers will go for Hinkley, who would get a release from Port, for his final contact year.

Hinkers would be a good fit for them. Experienced and knows what it's like to come into a club with instability.

I forgot to add that I thought Yze would get GWS gig and that would leave Kingsley for Port, but the Giants gazumped them.

I'd be hoping he takes a look at Essendon and realises it's a tire fire off field and that there's likely going to be better opportunities in store for him with friendlier boards next time round.

On the flip side I hope this knocks off the first 2 or 3 candidates and they end up with someone who never thought they were going to get a shot at senior coaching.

Surely all the nonsense out of the board has to scare away a few serious candidates.

If I was on my way to head coaching role I would be very scared of being a 1.5 yr coach and never get the spot again...

On the Couch talking about how Essendon will have to reassure any coach who will enter into their process, as the assumption is that Hird will get the job since half the board want him.

They are unbelievable. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.

It’s getting to the point of Jonestown and spiked Kool-Aid.

The bloke got 1 finals series in 4 full series as coach (and one season where they got thrown out). He finished his career one win shy of having a fifty percent strike rate. We aren’t talking about a John Kennedy, Norm Smith or Alastair Clarkson type figure here.

That's exactly right. The endgame isn't just landing a senior coaching gig, it's about being comfortable in the knowledge that you'll be given the time you need to start getting the results. More often than not once you have your shot in the hot seat that's it.

On the money Xecutioner, very much the xcellence of xectution!

Yze 's first real crack at a senior gig. He will get more chances . Kingsley had touted for a long time so good on him. On a side note how jacked is he , definately a better role model for GWS players in the fitness stakes than stuie dew

Why would we get rid of a coach that has just won four Premierships in a row?

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res
