Surely with JVRs competitiveness both in the air and on the deck he is a logical replacement for Weid next week.

A great hard working half of footy with Viney leading the way. We did leave a few goals out there and I hope we come out ruthless and dont have that bite us later.

Really? Jack Viney has delivered one of the great halves of footy you’ll ever see, the effort across the team has been selfless and intense in hostile territory, and all anyone wants to do is pot Weed?

This place is better than that isn’t it?

Important game, can't afford to have a non contributor

Yeah just realized I looked at the wrong number there.

Has been poor, but find it pretty [censored] even by Demonland standards that that's what people are focusing on.

And you're correct it's not the night for tall forwards which is good for is because Tabener and Lobb haven't looked threatening at all.

Very good quarter and half but gee that last Walters goal was absolute p*** and I'm not happy with it. Goals are at a premium in this game and you can see this because even though we are pressuring like crazy up forward the looks at goal aren't easy to get. 1 entry for the Dockers and they kick a goal. It will give them something as they go in for half time.

This is the test now, as far as I'm concerned the game starts again 0-0. We've blown these leads too many times this year and loading or not we need to take this one as a psychological boost.

Our small forwards are working tirelessly. Oliver is being sat on by Aish, but he does tend to have great second halves so expecting something similar. Aish will have his work cut out. Trac hasn't been bad but just want to see a little more polish from him. One of his trademark big time goals would be handy. Viney killing it, just loves this kind of weather.

Must come out firing in this second half.

Defence is looking steady. Rivers playing a good game so far.

Love an angry Tracc.

Our movement down the corridors has been good.

May, Langdon, Brayshaw, Viney, Fritta, Rivers, Hibbs, Lever, Melky,  playing well.

Clarry has to break his tag.

Keep the intensity.

Go Dees

Can we get that girl oz kicker commentating for richo please?

Now we need to not die in the [censored] in the second half

Just seeing Melksham Steal that Freo jumper that the fan was hanging down and throwing it on the ground gives him a free ride for the rest of the year. Dee4Life. Legendary.

Yep I miss being with the Demon Army tonight. One kinda gets used to being surrounded by REAL fans.
I’d plumb forgotten how mean-spirited DL can be during a match. Shameful.

Why/how do we constantly let teams in for soft goals at the end of quarters?

Same amount of disposals as Lobb, but has had more tackles.

Might not be a night for the key forwards.

It all comes down to 'the want' and imposing yourself into a game regardless of conditions LN.

Hopefully he can turn it around in the second half and contribute.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
