I'm tipping the magnet for eight.

Harmes to fire up.

Langdon to run anmok.

Kozzie for three

Dees by 50 plus.

Viney.....Trac....Oliver..and Max far too good.

How’s Oliver? Doubling all Dogs players in clearances with a broken thumb. He is seriously magic. We are so lucky to have him!

I agree.  Salem has completely lost confidence. Three weeks in a row.

He'll be right in the Granny.

Big second half from Tracc, Salem and Langdon please. Re this weeks umpire interpretation  don’t fly for a mark unless you take it.

I just saw Justin Longmuir on level 3 here at the stadium.

I gave him a filthy look from all of us.

Have we ever played them when they don’t get at least double our frees?

And the one throw paid tonight is, of course, against us despite at least three they have done unpenalised.

Big second half coming up here, are we up for the fight and potential shoot out? We'll see. Come on Dees!

i do wish sparrow and Jordan would move the ball on quickly after taking a mark. they seem to ignore short passes that look a certaintly and go down the line to a contest.we play some of our best footy when we move the ball fast.

Don't know why they ignore short pass going into 50

Someone shave Rickies' moe off and place it on their goal line

Melks has his best game since 2018, loving his work and seeing way more in efforts, just goes to show the selection panel has a clue.

Weids providing some moments and obviously loved in the team. Hope 1st qtr wasn’t his only cameo.

Gawn snapped his form slump, looking very sharp with his taps.

Viney BOG with Sparrow going really well. Would like the Sparrow haters to come out and eat humble pie.

Clarrie  and Petracca looking like silk

Brayshaw elite game tonight.

So many good things

FMD again - dropped mark when he fell over - paid to them of course

This is not a Melbourne game. Way too open and loose.

Offensively it is.
Defensively ... It aint.

Brave by Milk - dog act by dog

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
