North should rightfully demand the number one pick for him. Anything less is a lose for them. The AFL need to do something here. First Jackson, now JHF. Murmurs about Pickett. He's a gun for sure but his attitude needs to improve. It doesn't look like he has good people advising him

It’s already happened a few years back. Can McCarthy at GWS requested a trade to Freo in his home state of WA. It was rejected. He then returned to WA and sat out for a year. The next year he requested trade again and GWS traded him to Freo for stuff all. 

Players hold too much power and it’s ruining the game.

I reckon the Cam McCarthy trade is a cautionary tale for anyone thinking of going down that road. Looked a decent player early in his career but didn;t look the same at Freo. Sitting out the year was a bad idea i reckon

Whether there's any truth to the rumours or not, I can't see Port prying Pickett (say that three times fast) away from us if they plan to land both JHF and Rioli this off season.

Probably no chance this year, unless we could add a player to Bedford and a good pick. Even that probably won’t get them interested, unless he could convince them he will leave next year.

 

 

What a prima donna. Worse than Scully IMO. At least Scully was a professional and saw out his contract.

If we're not we should be.  I know from a GWS point of view he was offered an extension beyond the standard 2 years he signed as a first round pick.  He hasn't signed that extension...

I'm drooling at the thought of this. Was very impressive in his first game against us. Showed incredible poise and footy smarts way beyond his years. Can't see any chance this year with GWS likely losing Bruhn and Taranto but I hope we stick with it for '24. Would fit in perfectly on the wing.

Maybe GWS are offering Finn as a salary dump for pick 5….. I hear his base wage is backend and they are up to their ears in salary cap issues re signing Hogan.
