Alright, it's time. Biggest challenge for a long time, probably didn't need to be quite this dramatic but that's how it is. Come on Dees go out there and do it, this kind of adversity is right in your wheelhouse!

Richmond 2017 did.ย ย

Reminds me of the 'what did the Roman's ever do for us' skit in Life of Brianย

Enjoy the game everyone, I'll miss yet again because of work. Will hopefully be an enjoyable watch on replay.

As I entered Gate 3, three old women were spinning, measuring and finally cutting a thread. The cutter held it up, squinted and said, 'Dees by 31 points.'

I took it as an omen.

Hunt emergency. Letโ€™s hope another big man doesnโ€™t go down and that Harry Petty has fully recovered. ย
I had thought that Tomlinson could have been the sun.ย

Would have made more sense.

MFCSS says we'll lose a biggy early on now.

Hoping the new Dees show up tonight.

I hope the old, late 2021, Dees turn up actually.ย

We might be missing a few guns tonight, but we are not just Maxy or TMac. Some of our guys are just down on form, a little battered or needing a spark. It happens. But we have the talent.ย We worked hard to change the fabric of our club, to finally become a team that wins. That road has to beat bumpy one, but it's how we ride the dips that will count.

I'm predicting a 5 point win. Jacko to have a blinder (he'll step up in Maxy's absence) and a few to Weid (!!!). ANB will rediscover some magic, and Kozzy will kick a doozie. The backline will be stingy, led well by May who has much to atone for. But most importantly, we'll find some creativity to score, mostly because we'll need to, and it'll serve us well going forward. And we'll strike fear in the hearts of others again.

We can do this.

Go Dees! โค๏ธ

Comon Dees!

No awareness there. And no talk it seems

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.ย

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
