Six goal quarter... much better forward work

Hawks on 59 points... Our aim is to keep the other team around 60 points. Let's see if we can do it

God we just love a 3rd quarter dont we?!

I was up on the top level surrounded by the most repugnant Hawks supporters. At halftime I hustled some and long story short I now find myself in the freaking cheer squad !!! Not beside or behind but smack bang in the middle!!! These ppl are crazy!! I [censored] love it! ❤️💙

I'm in the MCC members & a hawthorn supporter 3 rows in front just randomly stands up during play. People tell him to sit down then he starts waving at the ump or someone. Seriously

I was wrong on T Mac. He has been good

got involved around the ground and kicked some nice goals.

Hawks have to be out of puff soon. They are playing really offensively to try and open us up on rebound … even our boys were struggling to get back in that last bit.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we started to pile them on after the first 5-10 mins.

Tommy McDonald going back to cover Smith. Hold onto your hats everyone.

Is Mitchell is most average Brownlow medal winner ever?

Melksham used to be so damaging. Now it's like we're playing with 17 out there.

I swear Der-Wayne is barracking for the Hawks here.

Not sold on Dunstan. Melksham been ok but won't hold his spot.

Melksham is not putting in the hard two way running we expect.  Reason he hasn't been in before now.

And another bs goal from free. That’s 3 today.

Don't think I'd be using that line today.

He used to poll huge possession numbers but not sure he was super hurtful outside of hos brownlow year, though his subsequent broken leg probably hasn't helped him since.

Smith on crutches again?!?

The most unlucky bloke!

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
