Are these umpires [censored]-ing blind? This game is getting like soccer, which I will not watch unless it's the socceroos, because of the diving. Even then it [censored]-es me off when the socceroos do it.

Sydney, Freo, Brisbane and next year the Blues will be in furious competition to finish runners up the next 4 years

And I support each of them in this endeavour.

Hoping for an Essendon win today.

Deflates the Collingwood bubble and gives one the joy of seeing Essendon followers get false hope.

Mixed over Hawks v Sydney but marginally desiring a Hawthorn win. Draw would be nice

Hawks winning is better for us because Sydney is a bigger threat. I also want the players to go into next week knowing that we have to really go hard as Hawks are not a walkover.

It's one of those games where you're dirty that one team will have a win but ecstatic that one of them will lose.

A draw would be my preferred result with both teams feeling like they missed out.

edit:  I'm talking about the Collingwood v Essendon game.

Early days, but a very slick start by the Hawks.

Lance gets a fair run with the umps these days. I've watched him throw two handballs and a shaky free kick for a shot on goal.

Hawthorn have been fast starters & guess what they kick accurately. Something we need to be ready for

Was thinking the same Dees. I'm sure Goody is all over it.

I will be interested whether the Hawks Use this attacking game style against us next week. They will likely man up in defence and rely upon clearances to score. It will be difficult to beat us at this game but the Hawks midfielders usually rove Gawns taps pretty well so there is a possibility.

it’s a young side too so hopefully pressure on the ball carrier will result it a high turnover style game which is what we like.

Who is making concussion decisions McCartin gets ushered away from potential head hit, and it's play on.What the bloody hell are Umpires doing or whose responsibility is it

I dislike Essendon and pies in equal measure well almost but a draw in that game would be good. Knock draw out brawl would be great so that they are behind the 8 ball next week.

I know it's some strange sort of reasoning but I'm hoping the Hawks win so they lose next week.

Feel so unclean.

How good was that footage of Josh Kennedy going of his rocker next to Longmire, apple doesn't fall far, just like his grandfather.

I reckon we could do worse than entice him to the club after he retires

I see the Hawks have gone all out with their Anzac Day guernsey design. 🙃

Paddy McCartin 😢

Geez the Hawks are snipers. I hope we can belt them early so we can protect our players from dangerous hits to the head.

Also why does Brereton commentate Hawks games? He’s painful at the best of times but extra painful in Hawthorn games.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
