Traded out 43 for a third next year

Guess we don’t want anyone other than woewodin, otherwise it doesn’t make much sense, to get better than 43 next year crows going to need to be bottom 4 again

The whole 'can't trade multiple future picks' is to stop a team trading their future away. Not sure how the AFL thought that was an issue with us

Has anyone matched a bid for Woewodin then? Or don't we know yet?

Not yet mate. Will likely use our last pick on him. (Or will we??!?!)

Wasn’t for that.

it was for swapping picks we’ve already swapped with the crows. Attempt to stop academy bidding nonsense

JT might have to do a Sos/Dodoro and get one of his colleagues to bid for Woey just before our pick so we get the match factor going for him. Otherwise we’ll grab him

Do we know what the trade was? Were we using pick 39 along with another pick to move up to 35?

Or were we just trying to get 35 to go with 39?

No idea, but my guess is

36 and the Crows future 3rd

For 39 and 43

Then we ended up just doing the second half of that.

We swapped 36 and 39 with the Crows during trade week so that was banned.

We only planned 3 picks so unless we loved Soligo or the guys who went 37, 38 I can’t imagine we would’ve taken 2 picks there

Something to do with the Filth?

We could have taken Williams with the pick we traded, giving us a Hawkins type who can ruck a bit as well as key forward.

Andy M-W looking likely rookie and If no one picks Taj he could then be another. Are we looking at a ruck forward type in maybe Caminitti, or however you spell his name?

Interesting to see the plan.

Looks like Rooey, Howey and Woey.  Goody should be happy.

If  you ask me, Demonstone, I reckon we just ran away with the chockie biscuits from these two draft rounds. JvR and BH were quite literally what we needed for our list - and were two young blokes so very close to the best available across both rounds.

DeeSpencer pointed out it's because we were trying to trade 36 and 39, which we'd traded with Adelaide in the trade period. Can't retrade the same picks to the same team

Bowie to Howey to Woey to Rooey. Goal!

...but, it was Gorney who cleared from the centre, as well.

Taj will be with pick 150 or whatever we have left, or rookie list?

51 traded out for a R4 2022, no Taj?

Why would we do that? Best case is saints finish last and that pick would only give us 55 without any fs or nga bids. Doesn’t make sense

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
