Geez, keep your shirt on bub.

1.  I didn't report it, SEN did.  I just posted a link to their article.

2.  The facts are as stated in the SEN article.  No "blasphemy" was committed.

3.  I know.  I never criticised the club.

I think you might need to go a have a Bex and a nice lie-down before you blow a gasket.

Not sure many would know what a Bec is Ds.

I can’t imagine it would slow things down too much. Scanning the QR code at entrances is something we’re all used to now. Likewise, showing our vax certificate on our phones is something we will quickly get used to.

I did not experienced it but there was a problem for a number of the older members  getting tickets over the internet earlier this year to get into games. As this is a ticketed event I can see some problems ahead. Perhaps I expect too much and of course we don't know the conditions that will exist for this event. In this modern age of technology I would expect an easy system but that seems to have failed in the past.

The silence if deafening Dd82. But have faith it will happen.

Fingers crossed this event is still happening? 🤞

I reckon we could basically fill the MCG with Melbourne supporters.

Then we could have a party-like atmosphere while we watch replay of the Grand Final and have player medal presentations and various speeches. Get lots of past players involved and make it a huge celebration.

Have lots of singing of "Its a Grand Old Flag" as well as dancing too.

The main thing I am hopeful of is getting a photo of my Dad and I both holding the 2021 Premiership Cup! That will be an incredible experience. Just gotta hope I don't turn into a blubbering mess when I burst into tears of joy! 😭

See if you can go to the sportsmusuem  to get the photo , less ppl

I assume the club is waiting for the magic 90% double dose mark when crowd limits disappear in Victoria to make further announcements.

We are currently tracking to hit that around 21/11.

We need some confirmation of the date pronto. I will have to decline a Christmas function for a club event this week on the assumption the 5 December Demon Celebration is happening. I will be [censored] if it doesn’t happen on that day!

Like all things OD it is easy  once you know how !!  It will be the same for this party function and 2022.

Best to get family into gear to get for you if you don't understand  technology  !!

Would love to take my nephews and nieces on the Friday but as they missed so much school, they can’t have a day off. Saturday it is. Hope to see you all there

That would be a shopping centre one.

Doncaster Shoppingtown  is on Sat night 6-8 pm I think  Haven't got the Friday date/s in front of me.

Sunday 5th will  be huge but hard for photos I imagine that's why I doubled  up!!

Sorry I meant to type Sunday. Was very dreary-eyed

Would be very interesting to be listen into the talks the club would be having with the Vic government regarding crowd size. I understand we do not want to make any promises we can't keep if somehow things don't work out as we hope for lessened restrictions. All going well, we will hit 90% double dose in a week and then we should make an announcement for 50K at the G or whatever they decide. should be interesting practice run for boxing day, there will be a lot of interest in the crowd and logistics

Keep the afternoon of the 5th Free folks! it will be epic!

I don’t have problems, I was just commenting on people who are from the older group who are not as tech savvy as others.  Just part of life in the 21st century. If you don’t have a smart phone life can be difficult.

So long as people attending are double vaxxed, there shouldn’t be a limit set.

You are expecting sound logic DD fairly confident that does not always apply.

Round 12 kicks off with the Brisbane hosting Essendon at the Gabba as the Lions aim to solidify their top-two position against an injury-hit Bombers side seeking to maintain momentum after a win over Richmond. On Friday night it's a blockbuster at the G as the Magpies look to extend their top of the table winning streak while the Hawks strive to bounce back from a couple of recent defeats and stay in contention for the Top 4. On Saturday the Suns, buoyed by 3 wins on the trot, face the Dockers in a clash crucial for both teams' aspirations this season. The Suns want to solidify their Top 4 standing whilst the Dockers will be desperate to break into the 8.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
