We are so unoriginal that we even have to pinch our iconic commentary moments from American sport. That’s borderline pathetic.

So many great images from our season.

I rate this most iconic - I recall the instant 57 years despair morphed into spine tingling disbelief

Of the countless pics to choose from for home-screen wallpaper I chose this one because of Ed’s smile…

I have been enjoying the Ashes but nothing now compares to winning a flag. Footy 22 cant come quick enough.

So true.

I guess other fans have had the pleasure of a cup many times. That we have all hung in there for almost six decades speaks volumes about us and we shouldn't take any flack about being fair weather fans or off to the snow.

Dunstall is fine, he actually has a clue and isn't too bad about Melbourne. It's Dermie that's the moron and doesn't have a nice thing to say about us

Dunstall is widely credited as being the guy behind the scenes who set up the Hawks most recent dynasty, he knows his footy dislike him or not.

That is a photo of the greatest moment in Melbourne's history.

The prelim moment where Viney hugs and lifts up Max is also pretty darn iconic, but I'm with you on the Clarry photo, it's the moment where we ripped the heart out of Bulldogs supporters and the look in Clarry's eyes and on his face says this is our premiership from here on.

Maybe it’s not wine, Jontee. Maybe it’s the salty tears of coaches and staff of the other 17 clubs. 😭

would be very bitter...

I fired  up youtube on my big telly and it immediately started showing the GF, 3rd quarter, couple of minutes before Bonts goal.  Is that good service or what? (How did it know)

Gee Caleb made some poor decisions, did the dogs abandon their game plan?

Watching last quarter of R23, with commentary for Tom Sparrow's kick at goal, last quarter, for the lead: "If he can nail this it'll be the biggest of his career, by some margin".

Wouldn't have lasted long...

😆

Watched the same bit ysterday also.

I noticed that for Sparrow to be in the clear to kick his 3rd 1/4 goal his opponent left him to attack the ball carrier Oliver coming out of the center.

Caleb Daniel.

Still pinching myself. Life has brought no other pride and joy than what it did following Bailey Smiths fumble on Sept. 25th, 2021

Same here! Still can’t bloody believe it. I reckon I could pinch myself ‘til I’m black and blue all over and it still won’t fully register that WE WON THE PREMIERSHIP!!!

Page 102….shout-out to Nibbler. His goal in the last made the score 102-60.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
