This is still a work in progress. I inadvertently bought almost a kilometre of ribbon last week (I explained this in another thread) so I’ve still got a ways to go…

Surely you could have added a bit of blue paint to your car.

Within a week of getting my Mazda i put blue stickers cut to size on the bottom half of the rear logo 💙💙

Awesome.....what lighting are you using RBG?

It's a combination of some cheepy Bunnings LED strips and Arlec RGB (should that be RBG - pun intended) smart globes for ambient flooding.  Only set me back a few hundred.

Not exactly perfect and probably looks better in the photo than real life, but generally gives the effect I was looking for.

Amazing work.  Well done!

Driving around the streets of one of the leafy eastern suburbs this morning I saw approximately 30 houses and shops decorated with Melbourne paraphenalia and one home in Western Bulldogs colours. More disconcertingly, I saw a BMW with the number plate "BONT" and also this gentleman. Impressive style.

Would love to see a pic of the house on the corner of Canterbury Rd and Kerferd Rd in Middle Park. They flew a flag during some dark dark years.

Here you go! I've always been impressed how these guys kept the faith during those years!!

There's two mannequins these days - there was a wedding and everything! I think they are in a different house back up Canterbury Rd a bit. Maybe we should open up a Demonland challenge to get those mannequins dressed in Dees gear!

Borrowing from the ancient African and/or Native American proverb, 'It takes a village to raise Hell'.

I've just completed a survey of my village and I'm proud to announce we outnumber Dogs flag flyers 6 to 1!

Um...that's literally 6. To literally 1. So not so much Raising Hell; more tip of the shovel in the ground.

But it is a village after all!

And a holiday one at that!

I've ordered my Banners from Skye Whitemore and get them, hopefully, tomorrow.

Then the task of putting them up on the fence, I don't think tape will suffice, so it will have to be string.

I wasn't going to do anything and then I thought I really wanted my kids to get into the spirit of it..... Have a couple of things to add with the kids tomorrow and then should be ready to go!

ps The banner was paid for on Sunday, address given to them on Mon and delivered today, outstanding service! Red Exhibitions well done!

If I’m not mistaken…. Directly next door to fence painting Richmond supporters… Superb.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
