Got the follow up banner

Mine are still up, trying to work out the appropriate time to take them down. I guess when the neighbours tell me enough is enough.

Neighbours? Bah! Like I said, S. Alighieri, 57 days. At least...

And your follow-up banner qualifies you for an extension anyway!

He ran out of space.

Not sure if I’ve done this correctly. If I have, enjoy my handiwork. If I haven’t, you’ll just have to die wondering. 😆

Only available space left is on the roof! Next year maybe you'll get a flag or banner up there

Just put the premiership bumper sticker on the back of my car. Positioned it top left so there's plenty of room for more

...And make sure your second car has good space.

As many of you fellow Victorians would attest to, over the past week we have endured some of the strongest winds I've ever seen in my life other than sitting through a category 3 cyclone 20 years ago in Cairns.

Houses have wilted, multiple massive shipping containers have collapsed on each other , 100+ yr old trees destroyed, towns without power for days.

My Dees scarves, tied only by the tassels at each end to my flimsy tree in the front yard have not moved an inch

Yep, I've had to rescue two flags this week and do some running repairs on the fixing systems of 2 others. Still get the occasional "toot" as someone drives by.

That’s lucky. I have structural damage to my roof that will cost me a bundle.

'Tis a significant week ahead, folks; Tuesday will be 57 days from #13@25/9. Time to furl all those flags?

Yeah.

Nah.

Western.

We like 'Western' now...

Walking back to my place from the shops on Saturday when one of my neighbours collared me and said,  its time, so I said for what, thinking she might have wanted to have a coffee with me. Well she said when am I thinking of taking down my banners? Well to tell the truth I hadn't considered it, so I said, off the top of my head, maybe Christmas when I put up my decorations.

But now that it seems to upset this busy body I think I'll leave it for another year and just replace them with next years ones.

This is a car I saw when I was having a walk on Sunday, that's dedication.

what type of file is it e.g. .jpg ,tff ,png etc?

i should have said simple copy/paste using right mouse click rather than cut/paste, and don't use embed.

It shows up on my post, all three times, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. 🤨

Thankfully just a Merc. Makes me wonder whether a Jaguar in blue with red touches added would be showing loyalty to the club beyond what good taste should allow.

Now I know how to do it this is one I posted on another thread but it didn't show up either, a jumper signed Jack Viney and Brian Wilson who was there on the night. A premiership player and a Brownlow medalist.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.
